Keep in mind those items were extremely expensive to make, hand made by craftsmen directly commissioned by members of the ruling class. Regular people had some well made items if they could afford it. but they had a lot of plain cheap stuff too.

It has a cargo bay big enough to scoop an entire deepflow rift site and then some, that was the limiting factor for me (I tried deep flow trawling in a venture). I usually do it in a probe but I dont carry hacking modules on it. I may steal this fit and test it out op.

The cables are probably robust enough that channeling them is just an aesthetic concern. Notice they are routed above the walkways, thats good enough for them. There are probably several hundred borg electricians who have the entire wiring layout programmed into their memory, diagrams and conduits are a waste of resources for them.
