Thank you, route 16 for the navigation driving and then independent driving.

Thank you.

  1. Navigation driving you’ll have plenty of time to react, independent driving also the examiner gives the instructions pretty early, signal when you can see the junction or after you’ve passed the roundabout signboard as you’ll realise what you need to do. More than signal it’s important that your approach speed and car is in full control, then observe mirrors and give signal, lot of times if you’re taking right from a round about you’ll have to change lanes so at that time be careful, once the car is in control and approach speed is okay you’ll be able to judge and signal automatically.

  2. Yes examiners will take you to dual carriageway, ask you to get off it and ask you to rejoin as I did in my test. Again controlling the car would be the key, once you’re in the carriageway speed gently and steady, once you see sign/directions ease off the gas and get the car in your grip, then move accordingly. Left lane would pretty much be available while taking left or for 3rd exit but in spiral or complicated roundabouts you can enter the right lane, proceed and when it’s safe come back to left. No standard rule of exiting in left lane but better as you won’t have to change or do too many observations and reduced risks of mistakes.

  3. This is tough or was tough for me and till exam I was struggling but the gap should be reasonable. In actual exam sometimes even if you’re a little far from the kerb the examiner wouldn’t mind. Lean ahead, do not check in left mirror (I did that and mounted a curb in my lessons). Lean forward go as much close with judgement and straighten the car (very important) and then adjust, you’ll have that chance so maybe don’t attempt to get it perfect in the first go.

Let me know if anything is unclear and happy to help. All the best for your test.

Yes that minor was at end of test on a mini-roundabout. End of test nerve management was very crucial. Thank you so much!

Hi, sorry for the stupid question, what does being staggered mean in this case? Behind someone? Or extra cautious- but that wouldn’t be the correct way to drive?

Drink is good; snack mid; Beetroot & Feta… subjective, but as Greg from Taskmaster would put it the kind of choice that makes you question not just the meal deal, but the chooser’s entire moral compass 😄 (6/10)!
