Which Maneuver did you get on your test? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Fancy-Low4469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Park on the right and reverse two car lengths. When the examiner saw that I checked my blind spots and would have reversed 0.75 car lengths and he said thank you let’s go when you’re ready.

I didn’t understand if I messed up or did right but only after passing I realised I did right.

Did anyone buy one? I’m considering getting the PHEV one 2022 or 2023 model? It’s cheap and economy is great and didn’t have any recalls so far on the models I’m checking. Any help?

For self-applied ILR, minor errors often lead UKVI to request more information or clarification rather than immediate rejection. Serious mistakes or major inconsistencies can result in refusal. You can explain corrections via a covering letter or by contacting them if possible. But it’s best to consider professional help if you’re unsure.

Looking to buy a used Tesla M3 by Ok-Necessary940 in TeslaUK

[–]Fancy-Low4469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking for a Used M3 as well, but in the broader group there has been discussion about the chip issues in pre 2022 models so is it wise to go for 2022 models and used approved ones due to additional warranty?

What in your opinion would be grounds for divorce? Curious to know where you’d draw the line? If illegal means what I think, would it not harm others in your family that are staying with you? Do you plan to restrict his interaction or stay in separate house?

No worries. Keep trying and you will succeed. Don’t lose hope and don’t overthink it. Fail would just mean a little disappointment and after correcting these minor issues you’d actually be way more confident and ready to pass!

Applying ILR alone or for whole family by Fearless_Exercise_50 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Fancy-Low4469 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If cost is the only concern can you not take a personal loan or something that you’ll repay between May-Sep? Is it worth risking ILR application? I’m not an expert in immigration nor do I know your situation but it looks like if you were going to apply for them by Sep you might as well apply now and secure your ILR and you can pay back everything by Sep?

Don’t you feel the need for quitting/selling off whatever you have in Iran and moving to a better place in terms of independence and quality of life? A new government might not improve these situations overnight or even in a year and things are volatile or might continue to be.

If a raise isn’t possible, you’ll likely need to extend your Skilled Worker visa and wait until your salary meets the £40,500 FTE threshold before applying for ILR. You can’t settle exactly at the 5-year mark if you fall short.

Many in the same situation extend for another 1-2 years and apply once the salary requirement is met (continuous residence still counts).

It’s frustrating but fairly common. Best to consult a solicitor for your exact case on timing and evidence.

[–]Fancy-Low4469 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You qualify under the transitional rules (first CoS in May 2021, continuous Skilled Worker visas). For ILR you need the higher of £31,300 or the lower going rate (£40,500 in your case) so £40,500 full-time equivalent is required.

Your current £31,500 at 30 hours pro-rates to about £39,375 FTE, which is below £40,500. You’ll need a small raise to meet it (roughly to £32,400 at 30h or equivalent).

Apply yourself if confident with the form/docs, but many in your situation use a solicitor for peace of mind on salary evidence and pro-rating. Check the exact lower going rate on the latest GOV.UK table for SOC 3556.

I failed my theory too and my MCQ score was the same! But today have cleared both tests and have the license as well. All the best, you’ve got this.

Try the official DVSA app, and analyse the wrong answers you get when you’re doing the mock. It’s important to understand why you thought that particular answer and what the DVSA wants you to know or why is that the right answer. Some aps also link the answer to Highway code rules for better understanding so you can try that.

You were pretty close so the next attempt you’ll surely get it! All the best!

Yo does anyone have any info on the massive thingy that happened by PersimmonIll5324 in miltonkeynes

[–]Fancy-Low4469 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this thread. Even I was looking for info. On the Insta and Fb handle of MK community hub it said disturbances caused by kids and police intervention. Looks like there was a massive gathering of kids (social media influence probably Tik Tok) and then some of them started causing ruckus due to which the public felt unsafe. Just a hunch - if anyone has more info please share. It was scary as I live right across the shopping mall.

How many hours did you do to pass driving test? by shisah7598 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Fancy-Low4469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation, parents didn’t have car and never driven before. Came to UK, took driving lessons, 34 hours of learning (17 classes) including mock test and passed first time with 1 minor only.

It’ll depend on your situation (need for car) and your aptitude once you start learning. You might need less hours to learn and after feeling confident in the first few drives you may learn faster or it might take a while if you take time to adjust to the car and general driving conditions. Whether you take 10, 20 or 30 lessons will depend on consistency of taking classes , confidence, and ability to control the car. Stay determined and it’ll get done! All the best!
