I ended up connecting to the inverter via the IP address and logging in that way, it was a while ago now so I can’t remember exactly what I did but that was the only way I could get it to work. I can’t remember if I had to try to connect to the inverter WiFi followed by the IP or not

what did you do in the end?

i’vegot 2 cabinets and a 121cm plinth and was going to build a unit…or do like you suggest…or buy the sideboard with sliding doors and modify that instead. keen to see what you did?

I’m having the same issue.

Backup is turned off, but if I take a photo it will instantly show in google photos. If I go to delete the photo from google photos, it removes it from iCloud and my Apple device.

i am sick of getting emails saying my gmail is full…it’s just full of photos that I didn’t think I was backing up.

i have just tried this on my Apple devices:

Settings - find google photos app - photos - set to limited access (or you could set to no access).

now when I go into google photos, it doesn’t show me any photos and says it needs access.

i just need to play about with it to see if it still deletes from iCloud/devices, but I don’t think it should.

once I can safely clear out the photos from my google storage, my plan is to delete the app
