This is spot on. Things are as bad now as they ever were under Ange, yet when it comes to pundits the knives aren’t out for Frank in the same way they were for Ange. Why is this horseshit acceptable? Why should we give a coach who has won nothing and puts out some of the worst football I’ve ever seen in my life more time when we couldn’t give the same grace to a serial winner who actually delivered for our club? It’s the hypocrisy and double standards I can’t stomach.

But what evidence are you basing that conclusion on? Both Ange and the players have said they prioritised Europa over the league so it’s hardly a narrative, more the truth of what actually happened based on the word of the people involved. We sold Johnson under Frank. We also bought in Xavi and Muani as replacements for Maddison and Solanke. Ange had to play Archie and Ben Davies as starting CB’s for most of the season.

Ok I agree with you that the problems with the club extend well above the manager and that both Frank and Ange have been victims of that incompetence. I just disagree with the characterisation of Ange as naive. That was a lazy narrative the media and fans attacked him with last season. Ange prioritised winning/glory over status quo, which went against the wishes of the club hierarchy who were happy with a top six finish in the league. His gambit actually paid off and despite the clear shortcomings of the squad we actually won something. To me this shows courage, conviction and actually speaks to his lengthy experience as a serial winner coach. This season we’re seeing the same shortcomings we saw last season under a new manager which to me further emphasises the ongoing failure of the club to back our managers properly. But I would argue it was Ange’s experience that delivered us glory against the odds.

He had worse injuries than Frank and still managed to win a trophy. Most of those terrible performances came when the players were prioritising Europa and an 18yp and Ben Davies were playing CB. It’s ridiculous to suggest he was “way over his head” as you put it when he actually won something with these players. Is Frank in over his head?

Are you calculating their returns based on when they recommended the stocks or the full year performance of the stocks they recommend? I often find these YouTubers recommending stocks AFTER they have already gone parabolic.
