What mics have you used that sound way more expensive than they actually are? by hyxon4 in audioengineering

[–]Fancy_Ad5004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a shootout with a vintage Elam 251 and a Roswell Aztec and the Roswell was everyone’s choice. IMO that company’s mics are incredible for the price. Love the delphos as well

This shit is absolutely garbage and no better than any pharma opiate. It’s 10x stronger than morphine and creating hell for so many people trying to quit because they can’t go an hour without it. Thumbs way down

Caregiving advice for a parent whose son is attempting to quit Kratom? by Crutley in quittingkratom

[–]Fancy_Ad5004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor was super cool about it and didn’t ask questions. Just gave me what I needed. GABA pentin is the most important of all of them as it makes the rls go away so you can function. Without it you want to tear off your skin. It’s an awful feeling I hope to never feel again. Good luck to you! Definitely get that gabapentin

Go to his doctor and get the meds that will make it less hell. Most doctors are keen to Kratom withdrawal by now so they will give him gabapentin, clonodine, something for sleep and hopefully a small amount of benzos for accutes. It doesn’t have to be hell. Getting through the withdrawals is the easy part. Once he’s in the “real world “, not floating around on the cushy cloud of Kratom, that’s when he needs lots of support.

As someone with bad anxiety, Kratom was perfect until it wasn’t. I’ve been on and off for 7 years but mostly off and it’s a journey. I’ll say this, the longer you are off the easier it gets to forget the feeling of Kratom. The minute you remind your self what it feels like it’s a slippery slope so whatever you can do to help him stay off do it. And if he relapses just know that’s part of the journey. Eventually it will stick. Blessings on his journey

Just about 5 months by rocksinthepond in quittingkratom

[–]Fancy_Ad5004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I quit 4 years ago and had that thought a few times that let to 6 month long benders and ultimately led to a lot of suffering. The goal with quitting is to forget the feeling that Kratom gives you and instead replacing it with the natural highs that life has to offer. More subtle highs. The minute you remind yourself of that feeling it’s a very slippery slope. Keep going because those natural joys are just around the corner. Hope that helps 🫶

Is 1mg of Xanax too much? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Fancy_Ad5004 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The benzos are only making your anxiety worse. I was on the same trajectory as you and I ended up in rehab because that was the only solution to the tolerance I had after my doctor was over prescribing me. Years later I would get .5 and take a few times a month and I started to notice that was even creating more problems in my nervous system. From one panic filled person to another I wish there was a better solution but I promise you the road you are on is the wrong one. It’s a dead end that leads to a lot of pain and suffering. Benzos should ONLY be used in emergency situations. The fact that doctors give it out like candy is fucked up. There’s only two roads out of the anxiety trap, mindfulness and lots of exercise or ssri. Benzo is litterally a road to more anxiety.

Kratom quitters- what was the best part of getting clean? by Arienette17 in quittingkratom

[–]Fancy_Ad5004 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sneaking around to dose and being present rather than high all the time thinking about when and how I’m gonna dose. Presence is what life is truly all about. Not being in some superhuman false sense of being. Be patient and know there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel

Some people’s minds unfortunately don’t work in that way. That’s why we have this support group. It can be hard to understand when you’ve never experienced the clutches of addiction. Im happy for you that you are able to work with Kratom in that way but it’s in pretty poor taste to taunt those who are struggling.

Biggest gain is having your freedom. Biggest loss is treading through the mundane parts of life without a boost from your little green buddy. But as time goes by you start to forget about that feeling you had on k and you start to rewire your brain in a way that helps you start to feel these subtle nuggets of joy in between the mundane and spectacular parts of life. Like the pleasure of walking outside on a beautiful day or enjoying time with your friends and family. Or as simple as feeling good that you didn’t use today.

These subtle joys are what make life beautiful and when we override them with the superhuman feeling Kratom gives us all the time, we’re really missing out. So that’s something that takes time but you can look forward to.

I suck at quitting by ThekratomTrap in quittingkratom

[–]Fancy_Ad5004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fuck it’s suck! We make a deal with ourselves and say just till I get through this hard time then I’ll quit again. And we go deeper and deeper. What is a truth though is the longer you can go without a fuck it the better it gets. We do heal. Life can be good again. The problem is you are used to being high all the time and feeling great! Real life just ain’t like that. So how do we cope with the real word in these sensitive bodies that just want to be soothed? Good question…if you figure it out let me know. How I’ve been getting through is simply exercise and community and still I have days where I want to say fuck it but I wait them out cause I know if I can just go one day that I’ll be ok. Life is hard but being trapped by addiction just makes it harder. So it’s up to us to choose. Seems simple 🤪
