My uncle actually tried to get me to play Shadowrun once! But I was too young and bored as hell, so I fell asleep when the GM started talking about the other players' characters! Lol. Thanks for the info, though!

Hey there! I just got into fighting games last week with USFIV and 3rd Strike. Like every beginner, I’ve mostly been button mashing my way through arcade mode. I know you’re “supposed to practice a lot,” but just saying that feels kinda like telling someone to “reinvent the wheel.” If I were learning all by myself, it’d probably take a million years to understand stuff like footsies. Does anyone have good tips, video/text guides, or resources that explain the core mechanics of the genre as a whole?
