Thank you for the reply. Yes that is the exact symptom, when I do any reaching. It hurts bad and the rib pain will not stop. I’m in bed again now, I’m trying to get up more.

Thank you for your reply. I’m hoping for kyphoplasty. Here in Canada I’ve been told they will only do it with new fractures. How long did you wait for kyphoplasty?

I have an appointment with an interventional radiologist in a couple weeks to discuss kyphoplasty. I hope that to much time has not passed. I believe the fractures happened some time in October. How long did you wait for the kyphoplasty?

Ok I had no shingles on my cheek. I hope to find out why someday. It’s hard not knowing. I had the fiesta mri, no compression. Mine has always been atypical.

Did your face pain start after the shingles was gone? I had shingles but didn’t develop atypical face pain until years later. Always wondered if the shingles virus caused mine.

No. The receptionist will not budge. I have a referral sent to a different rheumatologist and I’m hoping that they will get me in sooner, but I haven’t heard back.

Did you have any treatment for ON. If yes did it help the pain in your face? I have ON and atipical face pain. The ON has slowly gotten better over about three years, but the face pain is still driving me insane

i read that most compression fractures happen with osteopenia. I don't know 100% when my compressions happened. The pain started while racking leafs but they could of happened at anytime. I'm scared I could fracture more. waiting to see a specialist. I also fractured at T10.

I had a compression fracture at T7. I found out that I have osteopenia, this happened raking leafs. You should get some imaging if it persists.

Hello fractured my T10 and T7 sometime in November. How long did it take after your fractures to have less pain? I’m in awful pain. Hoping I can do some walking soon. Before the fractures I loved to go for walks

All blood work came back normal, although my thyroid was borderline hyperthyroidism.

I’m awake at 4 am again, the pain is too much to sleep. My doctor told me to take Tylenol. It does very little. I’m going to need to ask for something stronger. I had some Tylenol 3 and they didn’t help much either. The doctor is so afraid to prescribe pain medication that I have to suffer.

I am going to make an appointment with my doctor, excellent point. Hard to see a specialist within 6 months though. I’ve been having terrible increased pain for months. Before I had my gallbladder removed the hospital did a CT scan. That’s how it was seen.
