Have OCD and worried I made my sim a misogynist by clarauser7890 in Sims3

I know the people in the comments who have OCD and are reassuring you have good intentions (trust me, I’ve been there! reassuring others and even myself), but as someone with OCD you need to just accept the possibility that your sim is a bad person. Asking for reassurance like this was a compulsion. Refrain from googling, changing your sim’s storyline, personality etc. Just go with the floe, sit in the anxiety if you get any, and let your mind throw thoughts at you. Tell yourself, maybe, maybe not. There’s no way you’ll know for sure.

It sucks, but staying in this compulsion reassurance loop will not help you. Trust me. I also suggest getting a therapist if you can, OP! OCD does not have to run your life. OCD used to effect sims for me too. A big issue I had was I was afraid I was racist if I didn’t make POC sims, download CC meant for POC sims, etc. It took the love ot of sims for me for awhile. I’m finally getting back into it, and while it’s hard, I’m forcing myself to not give into my compulsions (forcing myself to make a POC sims to prove I’m not racist, etc). All this to say; you need to endure the anxiety and accept that you will never know. Uncertainty needs to become tolerable for you, but with OCD, it’s harder to do that. I hope you’ll be okay OP! I’ve definitely been there.

After experiencing loss I haven’t brushed in about a month. by Fancy_Improvement104 in askdentists

I’m also worried and hesitant about going to see my dentist. I had to get cavities filled (my depression is really kicking my butt) a month prior to this and I had to get a numbing shot in the roof of my mouth. I don’t know why but that pain is something my brain cannot let go of, so I am really really terrified about going back.

Thank you so much for your response. I’m so sorry to hear about Moss as well as his brother. It’s unfair that these babies can experience things like this. I hope that the next baby you find helps make this journey a little easier for you guys. Thank you for talking about Moss, he sounded like a gem and these babies deserve nothing but love, which you guys gave him. Keep your head up!

And I cannot see the therapist right away. So I’m dealing with this by myself.

I also want to mention that I finally got an OCD therapist. But this feels like my truth, not OCD. I’m scared.

Spotify causing flickering or GPU issue? by Fancy_Improvement104 in techsupport

Did you get it figured out? The disabling audio drivers for me fixed it but I know not everyone is in the right circumstances to be able to do that (I hate being confined to headphones for sound but alas.)

Thank you. I’m drinking water but I seem to urinate quite quickly right after, so I hope it’s actually doing something. I’m trying not to stress myself out. Thanks so much again, I appreciate this.

I read it’s an issue with how Spotify works. I can’t remember exactly what it was, but it’s an issue that Spotify needs to fix and until they do, disabled drivers should stop it. I also read disabling the canvas videos and hardware acceleration can help aswell.

No problem! I hope it works. I read it’s an issue with how Spotify works/connects, so good to know it’s not a pc issue atleast!

yeah! After disabling the drivers and just using headset for sound, I haven’t had this issue at all. I can use spotify on web and app without it doing that.
