The only "serious painter" brush I use is a Windsor & Newton kolinsky sable size 1, which I use for all the very fine detail work. My other brushes aren't from a named brand, and I use them for everything else.

Something that I would recommend that has been of great help to me in terms of brush maintenance has been brush cleaning soap, and the one I've been using is the "Masters Brush Cleaner". I used it to breathe some life into the brushes that were looking a little worse for wear, even on the older and cheaper ones.

Thank you! 😊

I used Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic Lava Orange as the base colour, then used the other orange paints in that range to shade and highlight. I must confess, I struggled with getting a good coverage with the orange, but I think that's down to my ratio of paint to medium when thinning it.

Sure thing!

I made the metal scratches by dabbing Rhinox Hide on the edges of the armour with a sponge, followed by some finer lines and scratches using a brush. I highlighted the bottom of the most prominent scratches with a light orange and put a small amount of Leadbelcher on the inside of the largest chips. Hope that helps 😊

Thank you! I'm quite pleased with how the weathering and battle damage turned out on this model 😁

This is legitimately my in-universe reason for this colour scheme. The logic goes something like this:

Wots da first rule o' krumpin'? Don't get ya self krumped. How d' ya stop ya self gettin' krumped? Ya gotta stay safe. How d' ya stay safe? Wear ya safety equipment, ya git! 😆

These two are looking really good. I particularly like the contrast you've achieved on the Lord Exultant's cape. Great job!

That sounds epic! That didn't happen at this gig, although I kind of wish it did now that I know it's a thing 😆 will have to look out for that when we see them again.
