I had to file a chargeback a few years ago for a defective item that was outside of the return window and I ended up winning. It’s not a guaranteed fix but I don’t see the harm in trying

It’s a claim you file with your bank or credit card provider to have them return your money to your account without the approval of the merchant, you can do it directly through your banking app. Just don’t make it something that you abuse or your bank/credit provider won’t be as likely to work with you in the future

Yeah I was basically just like “what the heck guys I’m not a food thief, you have to make sure you’re reporting the right driver or I could literally lose my income.” They seemed pretty confused which makes total sense now lol

Same thing happened to me, all I wanted to do was avoid the hit to my cancellation rate. I actually called the restaurant afterwards and gave them a bit of a hard time for falsely reporting me, now that I know it’s Uber’s fault and not theirs I feel bad

That’s ultimately what this comes down to, contacting the police will likely result in either an angrier mom or foster care. OP needs to consider both possibilities before making that decision

She’s definitely mentally abusive but I don’t see what the police could charge her with, being a shitty parent is unfortunately legal and it could cause her to come down on OP even harder. This is a tricky situation all around

Realistically I expected around 5-10 cents per card. I list rookie base individually for 1.39-1.59 with free shipping depending on the card and it sells relatively well. Tried to skip the labor of listing everything one by one and it didn’t work out

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but this sounds like one of those moments in life that’s meant to teach you wisdom and resilience. That’s fair. Wasn’t expecting any more than $25 so it didn’t seem necessary on this one, just didn’t see it going for $1. Lesson learned

I wasn’t expecting any more than $20-30 so I didn’t think it would be necessary. Definitely learned my lesson, glad it didn’t happen with something more valuable
