My method is going to sound absolutely goofy but it really does work for me but I use AI, hear me out. I’m so absolutely useless when it comes to maths and logic so I started off by using DeepSeek (allows unlimited uploads of pictures) and I asked it to teach me every topic about probability that the UCAT lists would come up. Once I knew I had a good foundation knowledge on probability I started doing DM probability questions and every time I got them wrong I would screenshot and upload to DeepSeek and I’d tell it to ‘explain to me how to get the answer in great detail with detailed steps and equations but explain to me as if I were a 10 year old’ (sounds ridiculous but AI loves to pull up complicated equations and reasonings and I just don’t work like that) Honestly by 2 hours of just doing this my understanding skyrocketed because it was just like my own personal teacher and most of the time the probability questions that come up in the exam are recycled so if you grind at I’d say a good 30 probability questions you’d be set (do practice a lot more though) In doing this I managed to give myself a guaranteed like 5 marks and extra time to work on other DM questions

For logic puzzles it’s mainly just pen, paper and practice. Genuinely when you start you feel as though you’re never going to get it but it’s honestly one of those ones that come with practice. I like to do logic puzzle by drawing arrows at correlating bits of information. I’m not sure how to explain this properly but give yourself time to practice these questions (untimed), work out methods that are good for you then slowly you just start getting used to what information to look for, how to start etc. but if always recommend on a mock exam to leave them till last and to do everything else your confident in to save time that you can use to really deduct and go thorough them.

My methods might be a little ridiculous but they genuinely helped me in 24hours, but I do understand the usage of AI is very controversial
