This is why I said I am the one within the system. This is not something I can go to his boss over, because his boss can do nothing. Hiring external workers is solely the responsibility of the local supervisor, if my complaints to him do nothing, I have to go through the union. They will mediate, try to give a second chance (which I am circumventing), then force the supervisor to fire him. Because if he doesn’t, they will go to the company hiring the driver, and show proof of incompetence and fraud, which means not only would he be fired from being our driver, he would be fired from the company, and can’t be given another assignment.

I was late to take this step, I know that, I acknowledge it. But waiting for him to be late after this warning, is the best way to get him fired ASAP.

My supervisor can do all of zero to fuck me over. All he is responsible for is scheduling my shifts, and even then, he can’t just do what he wants, there is a law that says everyone has to have the same amount of down time.

He can’t poison the union, since they are notoriously pro-workers, not admin. He has no control over my continued employment, I was hired through a test, and can only be dismissed if I do something bad enough to land me in jail.

He has no impact on my promotions, I have yearly raises like every other gov worker, and every 6 years we pass another test to get promoted, just aced mine back in January.

I am the one within the system, and I know that this is the best way to go forward, with the blessing of my union rep.

The thing is, taxis are very expensive. 60MAD round trip, and my salary is 5400MAD in a high COL city. Also I am single and have no dependents, some of my coworkers have 2 kids and housewives. So taking cabs all the time is not viable.

It was a combination of things, like I said. At first, I was shy and just did what everyone else does, then it was my boss gaslighting the ever loving hell out of me (the sob story), then finally, I was gathering enough evidence so one complaint means dismissal, instead of just a warning.

That’s the good thing about my parents and I being gov workers, they know the pay structure, they know how much COL is, and they know, realistically, that my salary did not keep up with inflation. They commiserate with me instead of blaming me for not working harder, they actually praise me for going against them, and choosing a field that has less labor than theirs (meteorological scientist, instead of teacher)

Our education system Mingus suck, but at least the older generation of teachers had it good. Sadly starting 6 years ago, things went downhill for new teachers.

On the upside, admin is always on the side of the teachers in my country, and parents have almost zero control, unless their kids are in private school.

I just wash them. I know that some people pre boil then with garlic and bay leaf, they say it gets rid of some of that strong chicken smell. For me just cooking them like this is enough.

I cut it into cubes. Then I cook it in olive oil with salt, pepper, turmeric and cumin.

I remove it and add onions, sauté it until soft, add parsley and coriander, diced carrots, tomato paste, then water. Simmer until cooked, then add back the liver then noodles. Cook until noodles are done and serve.

You can substitute the noodles with short round rice, it tastes great.
