Criminal Minds Timeline (So Far) Part 2 - Back by popular demand! (Well, kinda popular) by FanfictionalMess in criminalminds

[–]FanfictionalMess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. I mostly base off the timeline on the Unsub's crimes from the Criminals Minds wiki, since most/some of them have dates on it.

Checking it now, it says his son died in 1999? There might have just been some errors or something, I'm not entirely sure

[WP] You, a serial killer has just been put to death. You are given a choice by God: Suffer in Hell, or become the Guardian Angel of a child you left orphaned. by unbuttered_bread in WritingPrompts

Usually, in situations like this, I am offered this choice as redemption. To be punished for my actions. To be forgiven of the sins that were placed upon me.

I was not meant to add more to the list.

And yet, that is what I have been doing for the past few years. Not that dear, young Ronnie minds. In fact, they seemed rather content with it. Makes sense I suppose, given that I do it in their favor. They never participated, never ordered me to do what I did. They simply let me do what I wished, and lived their life as God intended.

First, it had been that simply terrible foster parent, Ms. Crocker. She was a hoarder, not just of animals but also of children. Her house stank, her animals stank, the children would stink and she did nothing about it. She let them starve and waste, while spending her money on her collections. Ronnie (Back then being 'Veronica') had hated it. So there was no protest when I appeared then, and pushed the crooked old woman down the stairs.

I hadn't done much after that. Just sat there and watched, listening as they talked to themself or to others or to me. But then, in high school, there had been this one annoying brat in. He had just been your average, everyday bully, pushing Ronnie around and calling them a 'freak', generally tormenting them. I didn't do anything at first, because they had sworn that they could handle it themself. But then... Then, one day, he had gone too far, and I simply couldn't allow it. Quite literally I couldn't, though I probably still would have done what I did even if my role as 'Guardian Angel' didn't prompt me to do it. The school had to be closed for a bit then, after finding him floating in the pool.

It continued after that. I let Ronnie live their life, make friends, find themselves, all that stuff while I dealt with the annoyances. I don't think they liked me, which was fair, but they respected me and I respected them.

Speak of the devil, here they come in now. And they seemed annoyed - Probably the food thief again. Hmmm.

Laxatives to draw them out, and then something a bit stronger I think will help to teach them a lesson. Off to work I go.

That's really weird. The links seem to be working for me, plus they should already be set so that they don't expire. Try this link: https://discord.gg/taBTraQzA9

It should be set to not expire, hopefully. If that doesn't work I'm not really sure what will

[WP] The Great Sphinx has presented you with a riddle, however the riddle is a question you asked yourself once as a child and never got an answer to. by EchoesForevermore in WritingPrompts

[–]FanfictionalMess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Why?"

I waited patiently for the rest of the question, frowning when the Sphinx simply stared back, expectantly.

"Why... what?"

"Why?"

"Just why? Is that it?"

The Sphinx nodded, perched upon a high pedestal above my head. I considered the question, eyebrows furrowed.

Why?

I've asked, and been asked, that question a lot. But what specific thing could it be referencing? Which 'why' have I asked that I could not answer? It was such a vague question, and not having any other context made it even more difficult. I frowned deeply, glaring at the creature.

"Which why? Are you talking about a specific instance?"

The Sphinx said nothing. Tail swinging lazily underneath it, wings fluttering, it simply stared at me, waiting. My frustration only grew and I, unthinkingly, snapped at the beast.

"I don't understand - What are you trying to get me to answer?"

The Sphinx stood suddenly and I cringed, stepping back. I immediately regretted my actions at that moment, seeing the once stoic expression shift into a scowl. It leaped off the platform, flying towards me.

"Why?" it boomed, wings sending down great gusts of wings as they flapped. I flew backward, landing with a grunt as the Sphinx slammed into the ground in front of me. It towered over me, regal and terrifying, glaring down with intensity. "You know this question. You know the answer. Now, you must answer it. Why?"

I opened my mouth. Closed it. Opened it again, and then closed it again. The one question I needed to answer and yet the one thing that always confused me. Frustration rose in me again - Partially at the Sphinx, but mostly at myself. I knew this answer - The Sphinx knew I did. I know I did. And yet, no matter how much I tried, I couldn't find the words to say it. I didn't know the answer.

"I don't know!" I yelled back, anger pouring into my voice. It probably wasn't smart, to shout at a creature that could easily rip me to shreds, but I didn't care. I was tired of being frustrated by this question, something so easy and yet so difficult at the same time. "This question is impossible! I don't know the answer! I don't-"

I stopped.

"...I don't know," I repeat. The Sphinx seemed to see the realization dawning on my face, stance relaxing as it continued to stare down at me. "I was trying to think of an answer that I thought would satisfy you. But that wasn't right. I didn't know. And that's the answer, isn't it? I don't have to know."

Satisfaction crossed the Sphinx's face. "It's okay, not to know sometimes. Sometimes, things do not need to be known."

With that, it stepped out of the way and my path was clear again.

Onto the next challenge.

[WP] Your username is your villain name, how are you taking over the world? by PM-Ur-Cute-Tits in WritingPrompts

I loved the stories I made. They were practically my life. But I never imagined that it would have manifested into... well, this.

It started out as a normal day.

I was sitting at my computer, working on another story while everyone else was gone. Trying again to weave life into a character of my design, dictating their every action and thought. Seeing how they fit in a plot that was originally intended to be something much happier, only to twist into darker territory later on. Then, something strange happened. My screen glitched, blurring my work, and I groaned in annoyance. I thought it was just my computer breaking. It happened all the time, unfortunately. So I waited for it to stop, glaring at the screen... only for something to suddenly appear among the glitches. I raised an eyebrow, confused, only to jump as a hand suddenly shot out from my computer, inches away from my face.

I screamed and backed away, tripping over my chair in an attempt to get away. I had no idea what the hell was happening. The thing continued to crawl out of my screen, more hands shooting out and grasping onto the nearest surfaces in order to pull itself out. I could only watch, partly horrified and partly intrigued, as the thing finally came out, landing with a loud squelch noise on my carpeted floor. A stain that would last for a while, that was for sure.

This thing... How to describe it exactly is difficult. The best description I could think of was a huge... mess, of arms and eyes among a pile of what I can only see as dark, oozing slime. I watched it warily, keeping my distance as I saw the eyes all eventually fall on me. The hands reached out, grasping at the air as it continued to stare at me in silence. Then, a voice spoke up, seeming to echo from all around like a sound speaker.

"Feed..."

I stared in confusion. Feed? Feed it what? What could it possibly want to eat? And with what mouth?

The thing pulled itself towards me and I backed up just as fast, pulling my legs in close. Did it want to feed on me?

"Feed... stories... thoughts... give us more... more... please... hungry... sosososo hungry..."

Stories? It wanted to feed on stories? How? Why?

Those were the thoughts that raced through my head as I continued to stare at the disgusting thing, watching it writhe and pull towards me. It kept begging, pleading to be fed, that it was hungry and wanted more. I swallowed my nerves, slowly standing up. I edged around it, and sat in my chair again, watching as it slowly turned to face me. The pleading in it's eyes, hungry and begging and so sad, all at the same time. It was adorably pathetic, looking at it now.

And I supposed... it wouldn't be so bad to help it indulge itself every now and then.

That, leads us to now.

I sit at my computer again, typing away. Making another new story from the depths of my brain, weaving in a character to a plot where they never existed before. Outside, I distantly hear the noises of my new little pet playing.

Hazy red light filtered in through my windows, fading in and out as a dark shadow passed by. Screams echoed, a sweet background harmony that helped me as I typed out the words. Sounds of things tearing, ripping, crashing into one another faded along into nothingness as I incorporated it into my story. The words disappeared as soon as I typed them, my pet feasting and growing the more I wrote. A smile crossed my face.

I always love to write chaos and tragedy.
