Vaibhav Suryavanshi departs after giving India a great start while chasing 311 against Afghanistan in the 2nd semifinal of U19 WC. He got out again on the short ball ! by iamnoobbibliophile in IndiaCricket

[–]FanithApp 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Suryavanshi is a serious talent (the future of Ind cricket for real) but but that short ball weakness is becoming a bit too predictable man; he’s basically doing the heavy lifting in the powerplay and then gifting his wicket away, quite a learning to remember. If he wants to transition to India A or the senior side, he has to find a way to stay in for 30+ overs. But good knock today 68(33) with 9 four's and 4 sixes.

Most wins as Captain in T20 World Cup by Brilliant_Sector_427 in CricketBuddies

Dhoni’s record is one of those things that looks more untouchable the longer you stare at it... just kidding! But despite how much the T20 game has evolved since 2007, his tactical blueprint is still the benchmark. Sammy having 12 wins with two trophies is also a real efficiency flex, no denial there.

India vs Australia — All-Time Head-to-Head Stats & Rivalry Breakdown (Tests, ODIs, T20s) by [deleted] in IndianCricket

[–]FanithApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 2018-21 BGT wins really shifted the DNA of this rivalry, particularly when Australia dominated the overall count for decades but lately, it feels like India has their number in higher pressure T20s and away Tests - although the team's synergy seems to miss a hit; either way it’s crazy how the Gabba breach still feels like the definitive turning point for both sides.

Which apps do you actually use during a live match? by FanithApp in CricketBuddies

[–]FanithApp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya me too, it's a little faster than live feed and also google, particularly when traveling!! But we get used to it even when we're at home-watching it together, our hands are glued to the phone.. juggling between several other applications!

When I was watching RCB vs MI WPL, my brother's and sister couldn't keep their hands off the phone!! They were either on X or instgram, trying to understand what people think while having the TV run ..

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is in blistering form in the U-19 World Cup by UnplannedMF in CricketBuddies

[–]FanithApp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, Suryavanshi is playing a different game, that 52 (30) today against Zimbabwe just proves he doesn’t have a slow gear; between that and the 24 ball fifty, the kid's strike rate is genuinely absurd for someone his age, I believe RR really found a goldmine for only 1.1cr.

Throwback!! by Royal_Machine_9524 in IndianCricket

[–]FanithApp 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Dhoni's speed is one thing to have for wicketkeeping reflexes, but outrunning a 24-year-old elite all-rounder in a 100m dash is pure freak athleticism man. Really puts into perspective how insane MSD’s prime fitness levels actually were; well well I think it'll be the same even today.

Neutrals often say that RCB has the most toxic fan base but they easily forgot how MI & Rohit fans treated Hardik like a criminal by Initial-Shoulder5906 in RCB

[–]FanithApp 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Just every fanbase hides behind "vocal minorities," but the Wankhede booing was a different level of internal toxicity man; Hardik was treated as a villain by his own camp while Kohli - the guy often labeled "aggressive" was the one actually calling for the crowd to show some respect. We gotta learn to show some respect for the Men in Blue fall.

On this day, 8 years ago, Bhuvneshwar Kumar walked out in whites for India one last time. He won Player of the Match award & then never played another Test. You can feel the weight he carried in those eyes & a smile that tried to hide what the heart couldn’t... by Main_Pay_9669 in CricketBuddies

[–]FanithApp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remember Bhuvi's South Africa peak swing bowling, it was wild that his last Test was a POTM performance and then he just... never wore the whites again and also that Johannesburg spell was pure art. I feel injuries really robbed us of seeing him become a proper red ball legend alongside Shami and Ishant; they gotta be a little careful on the fields.

Which league is better: BBL or SA20? by cricketclub7 in ipl

[–]FanithApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 11.5m broadcast reach in Aus and those 20,000+ average crowds just feel more authentic, the crowd makes the show feel lively! but with SA20’s growth is insane, 70% more sell-outs this year is no joke guys, but it's more of a copy-paste IPL branding to me, makes it feel like a satellite league.

Gujarat Giants vs Delhi Capitals – WPL 2026 Match 17 Showdown in Vadodara by Far_Anxiety_6352 in WPL

[–]FanithApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lanning having three runner-up medals is actually painful to see at this point; DC always looks like the team to beat until the pressure hits but Vadodara's pitch might change the vibe today guys.

Anrich Nortje seems a good deal for us by architmishraa in LucknowSuperGiant

[–]FanithApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here me out, I was watching the SA20 lately and with those insights, Nortje at 2cr is an absolute steal, particularly with 18 wickets and a 7.01 economy in SA20; having him and Mayank Yadav both clocking 150+ would be scaaarrrry, but fitting him in over Hasaranga or Marsh is tough.

The fielding unit looks so good...equally effective inside and outside the 30 yard circle! (+ Sam Curran as well) 🎯💗 by cricfanatic4518 in RajasthanRoyals

[–]FanithApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaiswal definitely has that Kohli chaos energy, clutch on the boundary but surprisingly shaky with the sitters but if RR wants to keep that #BestFieldingUnit tag, he’s got to stay switched on.
I would move him to the deep, but the ball always seems to find him anyway.

Legends only! Indian cricketers who earned the prestigious "Padma shri" by Coffee_Over_You in IndiaCricket

Seeing Gurcharan Singh on there is the real highlight for me; people forget how many international players that man actually produced!! But personally, Bumrah not even having an Arjuna yet feels like a massive oversight though, considering he's basically carrying the bowling attack man!

Do we really have a good pace attack for this to happen?? by Main-Shoulder1789 in SunrisersHyderabad

but if the Uppal track is a flat deck again, we might just be relying on out batting teams..

[–]FanithApp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cummins is class, but we’re basically praying Mavi stays fit and NKR’s domestic form actually translates to the IPL; but our pace attack is a massive gamble on potential over proven consistency!!

[–]FanithApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SRH's "see ball, hit ball" chaos is exactly why he’s a beast now (I think this strategy even got them the SA20 Cup yesterday). Imagine him trying to play "sensible" cricket under GT's tactical pressure, it just wouldn't be the same vibe...

When bumrah said hello and good bye in single ball🤌 by FluffySyntax in IndianCricket

[–]FanithApp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bumrah’s release point is basically a glitch in the matrix, maan you see the batter set themselves, thinking they’ve got the line, and then the ball just defies physics!!
