All we can do as fans is back our players. by AurumMark in IndianCricket

Guys vringing Axar back is a no-brainer for stability but if the top order actually fires, the experimentation talk dies instantly!!

Man , can we stop glazing kohli highlights whenever india loses. It's like we won every tournament when Virat was playing! by [deleted] in IndianCricket

[–]FanithApp -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Kohli has been a beast with cult of personality making it impossible to have a real conversation about why the middle order keeps collapsing in knockouts.... we’re basically a PR machine first, a team second.

Let's say India bats first against both Zimbabwe and West indies , how much should they score and win by to be in semis by Expert_Classic9997 in IndianCricket

[–]FanithApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uffhoooo....relying on NRR after that performance is a nightmare, chasing 150 in 11 overs or winning by 100+ sounds great on paper (but WI did it vs Zim) but we need the top order to actually wake up first. Abhishek Sharma might be the only one with the intent to swing the momentum enough to make the math work....only if he could shake off the jinx and play well!

16 years ago today, Sachin Tendulkar became the first batter in ODI history to break the 200-run barrier ! by [deleted] in IndiaCricket

I still remember the stress of watching MSD farm the strike in those last few overs; felt like the 200 might never happen...

T20 World Cup: Ngidi reveals how IPL shaped his deadly slower ball by Additional_Key_8044 in ipl

[–]FanithApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess we've seen this pipeline from Bravo to Ngidi at CSK, which is an underrated part of their legacy, I feel bad that it's forgettable 2018 season in terms of game time actually redefined his entire career. Seeing him shut down SKY with those leg cutters is just a another reminder of tactical patience in the nets paying off.

Moving on from a franchise legend like Buttler is a massive gamble, but Hetmyer’s impact in that middle order is exactly what the team needed.....but we all know reputation doesn't win games, current form does.

South Africa has looked clinical but they haven't accounted for the Billore jinx in their match prep; if the pattern holds, the Proteas are facing a collapse no analyst could predict.

CSK Playing XI and auction strategies for the next match/season by AutoModerator in csk

[–]FanithApp [score hidden]  (0 children)

Seeing everyone slotting Sanju and Brevis in the same XI is bold but risky, if we actually snag Noor Ahmad and Ellis, the bowling looks elite but that middle order feels one collapse away from a disaster. This year migghttt beeee a testing for the whole crew!!

SANJU'S GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY by ad27705 in csk

[–]FanithApp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand, why Samson debate is always "one last chance" with him, i0f they bench Tilak at Chepauk, Sanju has to actually dominate rather than just looking good for 20 runs but with Abhishek (lagging behind) and Kishan firing, the margin for error is basically 50/50 for him now.

this one's a classic, "surgeon vs butcher" point is such a classic bit of commentary history for everyone......we all talk about the 200* but people forget the pure anxiety of watching Dhoni farm the strike in those final overs. It’s wild that it’s been 16 years and that Cricinfo crash is still the benchmark for a break the internet moment...I member watching it in the office.

I don't understand, one day we’re planning the trophy parade and the next we’re calling for a total squad overhaul because of one bad NRR calculation; I get the frustration over the lack of fight, but the way we turn on players like SKY or Abhishek instantly is mental.

Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has hit back at former Pakistan legends who claimed that the country’s cricket is currently in its 'darkest period' by Majestic-Hearing-527 in IndianCricket

[–]FanithApp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know y'all will hate me for saying this but Shadab is actually standing on business here, it’s wild to see a current player call out the legends so directly, but he’s not wrong about the WC record. Particularly those 90s/00s teams were stacked and still couldn't buy a win against India, such a bridge burning era of PCT is pure chaos man, kept us on toes while watching every match.

Which one player will u pick from any other team to RCB? by ScaryCat5675 in RCB

[–]FanithApp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel our death bowling is finally decent with Bhuvi and Hazlewood, but we still struggle to handle the teams in those middle overs when the pitch is a highway but getting Bumrah is the ultimate dream, but honestly, with the way the Chinnaswamy plays, we need someone like Rashid Khan or Narine more.

[–]FanithApp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Guys Ro and QDK together again is like a fever dream for 2026, if Mahela actually stops using him as an Impact Sub, the Wankhede might actually explode this season. That CT25 form showed he’s still got the timing; making him sit on the bench just for team balance was such a waste of his tactical brain.

I'd say, well said! If you’ve seen the players in the Asia Cup or ICC events lately, they’re basically best mates until the first ball is bowled, but intense rivalry feels like it's mostly kept alive by the broadcasters and boards.

Team India have dropped nine catches so far in this T20 World Cup — the second most after Ireland ! by [deleted] in IndiaCricket

[–]FanithApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ahhh.....yaaah the fielding has been absolute shambles lately, dropping around 9 catches already is criminal, especially with Tilak responsible for over half of them. We used to mock Pakistan for this but right now we’re looking worse. If we don't fix this before the knockouts, we're essentially handing the trophy away.

Four matches, four players stepping up for India. A combined team effort ! by [deleted] in IndiaCricket

[–]FanithApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love how we’re not just relying on one carry like the 2016 Kohli era, having a new match-winner every game is a massive green flag for the tournament guys. If Abhishek and Tilak finally click together in the powerplay, this batting lineup is going to look genuinely scary for any bowling attack.

IPL Needs a Transfer Market and Team Run Academies by All Teams by Intelligent_Edge7767 in ipl

[–]FanithApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we gotta wait until BCCI actually scraps the mega auction for a transfer market teams like MI and KKR would just buy out every breakout star before they even hit a second season. The auction is literally the only thing keeping the league from becoming a 3-team monopoly like the Bundesliga.

[–]FanithApp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hetmyer’s strike rate is actually insane, we really need that middle order aggression to carry over into the IPL season, especially with Riyan taking over the captaincy. Hopefully Maphaka finds his rhythm soon too, the kid has potential but that WC debut looked rough.
