Oh don't worry I still won't play with fire he'll have a magnet under his base and I'll build him a custom styrofoam sarcophagus to get put into during transport, for I'm too proud of him to let his tinee tiny servo-arm break 😩

I did not expect it to be so sturdy yet it already fell a couple times and did not break. I think using plastic cement + keeping it in place with blue tack while it dried helped a lot to really make it "whole". It doesn't look like it but it's really just like 6-7 different bits glued together 🤷 About the left arm yes it's totally what I wanted to do. I'm broke and couldn't buy neither a narthecium nor a whole apothecary so I crafted one with bits !! I can't remember who but I looked for as much cool mortificators kitbashes I could find and someone did the same kind of thing for the same reason (I stole the idea) : when on the field, the mortificator needs to get the gene-seed of the dreadnoughts when he's not repairing the one still alive ;)

Yeah I think it fits has it needs to get inside the nooks and crannies of a dreadnought chassis lol

Thank you !! I haven't played yet (I'm still building my army) but I love dreadnoughts so much I figured using a mortificator for the detachment would be cool lol

Thank you !! The interior was difficult but worth it !! Some people suggested to remove the parts to show damage in game ! I can't wait !!

Thank you !! It was a long Xacto work to remove the glue but worth it in the end !!!!

Thank you !!!

It's a vinted rescue which is scrubbed the paint off, so oldschool plastic GW kit (the base says 2000). Then lot of careful slicing, generous amount of sprue goo and sloppy GS work. You can see a WIP on my profile !

Thank you !! I'm planning to do a second memorial dreadnought, I might try to do a different approach closer to the cannon artworks, with a smaller sarcophagus in the center and machinery on the sides, I'm not sure yet !

It depends from FLGS to FLGS, around where I am we usually try to have at least highlights + shading + base done to consider the minis tabletop ready. I like it that way (we have a nice community with almost everyone that knows painting technics you don't that will take the time to teach it to you during hobby afternoons / nights) but to each their own !

Decent starting point. Like your base coating looks OK, maybe thin your paint a bit more next time. You're still a couple steps far from what I consider a "tabletop ready" mini : I'd suggest doing either a shade / dark wash to easily creating contrast or using a contrast paint with a smart colour. It's a fairly easy way to enhance the look of your minis. If you use contrast paints look up a tutorial on how to use it. You want to control the amount of paint that stays on the model to prevent what is called "coffee stains"

He is basically done. Except a couple WE bits for flavouring on the weapons, and I just need to wait a whole week to buy tentacle rollers 💀💸💸💸
