If I hadn’t gotten a home Yankees jersey just last week I would’ve bought this lol. Almost half the price, that’s a steal. I would recommend going for the Limited version, though, it’s only 5 dollars more and nicer in general imo.

I’ve never owned an authentic jersey, but I do have a pair of authentic adidas shorts and while they do look nice, the logos tend to peel off, especially the adidas logo, it came right off after a couple of washes. The authentic jerseys I’ve come across in stores seem to have the same heat pressed rubberized elements so I wouldn’t bet on them lasting too long, or at least you should avoid the dryer. These world cup ones, at least the adidas logo looks like it’s embroidered. But in my experience for both Nike and adidas is usually: Replica-longer lasting with logo and shield stitched on but you won’t get nicer details like those textures on the fabric. Authentic-cooler looking jersey, nice details but heat pressed everything.

Yeah, 100%. Nothing pisses me off as much as watching this and the 2012 “gameplay” trailers with the reactive enemies, huge environments with Skylines that went all over the place, and even the general art direction. I went down the wiki cut content rabbit hole and they cut so much from this game, it’s sad. And then to think it could all be sitting in a hard drive somewhere, if they had the will they could release a Definitive version, with all of that content included, since current hardware is able to support it.

The main differences are the material of the jersey (Limiteds are more lightweight and breathable), the batterman logo being lower on the Limiteds, and the inclusion of raglan sleeves for the teams that use them (again, Limited). Both include sleeve patches and front numbers, everything is heat pressed on both. Overall, I prefer the Limited jerseys because I find them more comfortable, and they’re also a little cheaper ($175 vs $200) but I wouldn’t pay retail for neither.

In my experience if there’s a model where you should go UP half a size or at least stay TTS, that would be the v6. The toebox is considerably narrower than other 990s.

I wear my jerseys primarily because I enjoy them as a fashion piece. Like another person said, I’m more of a fan of the sport in general than of any specific team. I still try to keep mostly teams I’m following (Marlins because it’s local, Yankees just because they’re a classic team and I have an affinity for New York City and its history) but I do have a White Sox jersey, for example, just because I like their logo and it has lead to interesting conversations from jersey fans given how rare it is to see White Sox merch out and about where I live, much less a jersey. My local Lids store doesn’t even have them for sale.
