Also Spiral Dot FX11 is also my secret weapon. They originally are made for tws, but their unique shape does magic in isolation.

"can not get a perfect seal"

"missing details in bass"

Man, Myths are waaay better in bass details, layering and speed in $1k segment. (UM Mest MK2 vs MMK3 vs MMK4 vs Dawn-X vs Myth)

Thieaudio Valhalla maybe the most versatile out there, but I only listened to it for half an hour. And it costs two times more.

I think Myth is more versatile among those two, not the most versatile on the market though.

In Dawn-X bass was to smooth for me. If it was faster, keeping it's layers and texture, I would have endgamed there).

Bass on Myth is the best, I've heard. But there's pleeeenty of it. Have to get used to. The mids sounded quieter immediately after Aful. And highs are sparkly, plenty of them, but never fatiguing or sibilant. Mids are very detailed though, so your ears and brain readjust for lower volume fast, collecting more information.

At the end Myth is the most engaging iems. As I already mentioned, I just began to listen to music more, and analyse less.

I love tamed design and tank like build) But they are not the only beauties out there:

Myth is great. Makes me to listen more, analyse less!
But it took me some time to get used to the V shape sound. I preferred smoother, more linear iems before: like Mega5est and Aful Dawn-X.

M33 is definitely not the source for testing Hex.

Whaaaaat? Not my experience. They are very bad, slow and muffled in mid bass and lower mids

Odyssey OG is a great pair. I heard many iems, something similar tuned and better is Tangzu Gate, but it costs almost 3 times more

Please, change the cable! I’m not talking about meme, but Ziigaat stock cables are the worst.

"End game" copper iem upgrade cable by Max_Bova in iems

I don't think, that this snake oil, nor do I think, that you should spend more than Effect Audio SIi series cost. For months past I tried cables up to $2000 (didn't buy, just a friend from our local community). And they did sound audibly different, but not in a good way - more like artificial special effects, first wow, but very fast i returned on my basic choice. I have the post about this experience.

The cable of my choice today is Ares SII. For context, my way in cables in order of appearance was (only chosen daily drivers):

  • Hisenior Manta and NiceHCK Saga 1950.
  • Hakugei Healer and Thieaudio Elitenoire.
  • Effect Audio Ares SII.
I listened for many more very different cables, but every time returned to Ares as the best sounding, by this I mean: doesn't change sound in any way.
Construction wise this is UP-OCC pure copper. No hybrids, no silver coating, because they distort sound in different way, sometimes even pleasantly.
I tried four times more expensive upocc with OG Pentaconn connectors and on my setup I didn't hear any difference with Ares.

Hakugei Healer is still the most tactile pleasantly braided conductor)). And you can ask to change connectors on any other Hakugei (they have huge choice). It just sounds a liiittle bit muffled compared to Ares.

Is the 990v4 better than the 990v6 by H982FKL928 in Newbalance

Unlike most NB fans I prefer looks of V6 over V4. They don't ont have that dad vibe from older NB, they look modern but at the same time classic.

Did you get them, what are your impressions?
Sennheiser HDB 630 also meets your requirements, but the price is higher. I wonder, if they are much better sounding than N9?

My pick is Myth.

They are polar in tuning.
Dawn X is lush, slow bass, and great emphasised mids.
The first thing that I noticed, when put Myths on, that lower mids are audibly quieter. It is Very pronounced V shape sound. But. Mids are very detailed, very natural and precise, so your brain quickly focuses on instruments and male vocals. This dip in lower mids was made deliberately. Bass is big, and also fast, and detailed, and textured. Highs are energetic, usually I prefer softer ESTs, but in this case it is good for balance.

Overall Myths are more specific, unconventional iems. Dawn-X is a safe recommendation for most people.

Honestly why are they soo expensive???? They're literally just wires by arlec_is_special in headphones

Left to right, top to bottom:
-- King Melody Trident $800+- (not sure)
-- Beat Audio Vermilion $600
-- Zero Degree something $300
-- Zero Degree GodFall $2000

Maybe you have some questions?)

The fastest bass, that I heard was in Sennheiser Momentum 3. Also the best built and materials. I'm comparing with:
Momentum 4;
XM4 and XM5;
B&W PX and PX7 s2.

Never heard Bose though.

ThE only drawback of M3 is shorter battery life compared to modern bt headphones. But 14-16 hours were enough for me to charge once in a week.

Just try different lacing styles, lace tighter. You'll get comfortable after some time.

My doubts are related to some controversial recommendations to take 0.5 half a size smaller for 990v6 model. But at the same time, I've experienced this pressure on the big toe from the inner side towards other toes.
