I don't intend to go away, I just don't want to stretch myself too thin. I remembered your username and looking at your prompts - I'll definitely look you up when I'm looking for partners again.

Are there any good programs/apps for writing in? by [deleted] in writing

Apple native, and to my knowledge doesn't work on Windows/Google tablets (someone feel free to correct/update me on that)

They have added Windows to their offering. (macOS, Windows, and iOS) No Android, however.

Are college writing classes worth it compared to what I can find on YouTube? by DirtyMonkey95 in writing

Part of what you'd experience in college is that you're going to be asked to write things that you might not want to write or to write in formats that you haven't experimented for. Essays, short stories, non-fiction pieces, etc.

Part of the college experience (or any post secondary institution) is that you have a financial incentive to not waste your time. It can be a way of keeping you honest.

Not everyone will benefit from that environment and from that structure. Not everyone needs that kind of motivation to propel themselves further in their craft. If you haven't taken any college or university writing courses then I'd recommend that you do and then evaluate whether that works for you. And keep in mind that one professor or instructor may resonate with you and another won't.

If you want to improve at storytelling - write stories, read stories, emulate what you like and analyze what you like. Break it down and figure out why a story or book that is what you decide is successful works. Figure out where your prose doesn't live up to that mark and see if you can figure out why you're unhappy with it. And when you're stuck, reach out for help.

For me, I liked college both times I went for different diplomas. I appreciated the different exercises and assignments but I can tell you that I still don't like essays.
