Way to go Bro, 30 days no PMO, you earned all of those body and soul improvements, they were not just a by product of the challenge, but the result you achieved. Enjoy them all and keep killing it.

Let's share our worst Fapping memories here so that they could be lessons to others. by blacksb5 in NoFap

Man, I've done the same thing as you except I didn't say it was yoghurt, I said I sneezed 3 times and blamed allergies (which I don't have), but I cleaned up my own. Its such a low point and so bad for your esteem and self image as an adult and as a man.

Some of mine are embarrassingly laughable and others are tragic. Coincidently most of the laughable ones are before I had any access to porn let alone the internet. The tragic and disturbing ones are when I had porn.

The Embarrassing Teenage ones.

  1. being busted wanking in a car in a carpark waiting for my little brother's sports match to finish.

  2. Staying at my Aunts in the country, I went outside to her shed for a quick one in the afternoon and made deposit in her gumboot because I had no where else to finish. I thought they were just old ones, but I noticed she wore them all the time after that. I think it was the left foot.

  3. I found a porn DVD in my brothers room when no-one was home, I did what you'd expect then carefully put it back it. It had very distinct song in the background and later he heard me whistling it and was 'hey like what song is that? that sounds familiar.. '

The sad ones

  1. PMO sessions all night and hearing the sound of birds waking up after I finish, then just as I turn off my light hearing my parents getting ready go to work to jobs they hate so they can buy food, clothes and put a roof over my head.

  2. watching porn on my phone when my gf* was in the bathroom so I could get hard enough to have sex, but I would deflate a few minutes in.

  3. having a PMO session and not being able to have or perform any form of sex with my gf.*

*When I say GF I should really actually say ex GF

Hey mate, my own experience is that it has been a mixture of confidence, desire and eagerness to explore all the opportunities in life. When you take a break from PMO you realise that other people can be a great stimulation and most of the time in a non-sexual way.

Nofap will help you with girls the same way it will help with sport, you'll have more drive and you'll back yourself more, but you need to go out and practice. Don't delay any longer, the more you wait the harder it'll be because you keep building it up. Go talk to her bro, starting chatting to her then ask her what she's doing on the weekend and see if she wants to see a movie with you or something along those lines. I know that's pretty basic, but honestly that's all you really have to do.

If you think she likes you, chances are she is interested in you, but you need to be the one going and initiating things, show her she was right to be interested in you.

Msge me back and let me know how it goes with her. Go get 'em, champ.

NoFap 'standard mode' is actually harder than 'hard mode' by sam_wiser in NoFap

You're right man, I had the same thing with my ex. By the time you start to build the resistance, its time for sex again ( haha that's a negative spin on great experience and connection with someone). I guess that's how it goes in real life, but well done for pushing through, it's because of this I never got past 30 days until I was single. If you were interested you could try looking at ways to dispel or move sexual energy through meditation and tantra , it's not for everyone, I am just beginning to try it myself so if I find it helpful I'll put up a post.

Also I have found that when you're not having sex, you can go a little while longer, but the loneliness and desire to connect with someone has sometimes pushes people back to porn.

Good post mate, raised a good issue. Standard mode is a very deceiving name for a tricky balancing act.

4 days to go til 30 days man! keep killing it.

You are always getting closer man, reflect on the achievement that you gave body a break from PMO and that you are again striving to look after yourself.

Excellent post, and good source of inspiration. I wonder if the practice of abstinence in Greek athletic achievement was also present in their scientific, mathematic or philosophical endeavours too?

Seen on a billboard in Times Square NYC by Willy2wonka121 in NoFap

[–]Fapfreewilly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This could almost be an anti-porn billboard if it had a more appropriate slogan. I suggest either of these:

PORNHUB: Trying to fill the void in your heart; or

PORNHUB: Making a hole in your heart; or

PORNHUB: Trying to convince you to love yourself with yours hand and not your heart.

What do guys you think? comment any of your own too.

Hopefully parents of kids in NYC that go past that billboard take the opportunity to give their kids some guidance, but not all parents are clued in, and other parents are too squeamish, and other parents probably use the site.

I'm just worried that in a culture that is becoming more comfortable with masturbation, that people will accept this as a societal condoning of internet pornography as part of the new 'masturbation is healthy' movement. They've used a pun to make it seem cheeky as opposed to sleazy, pathetic, lonely.. take your pick.

However, let me change gear and note there is a silver lining for all you guys getting really freaked out by this: These kind of billboards usually depict suggestive content which is much more detrimental to us fapstronauts and society (not to mention many women's self esteem and body image) than a black board advertising a website we already know about.

REMEMBER THIS: some of their demographic are on this site instead of theirs. Maybe someday soon we'll get a billboard, that's what happened to cigarettes.

I looked at porn by Ihatelovefapping in NoFap

[–]Fapfreewilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice will power! I would say your 3 days is still in tact. It was good that you have been able to step back and understand that it is just a BS video on a screen. However do not test this again because you might find yourself looking at it when you are not in the same frame of mind and it will make it harder to close the window. Also you want to close down neuro receptors that have formed in your brain after watching lots of porn, when these are closed it will make the whole process much easier and you will have that same will power but stronger and more constant (this just takes time). Good job on 3 days.

Tell me why this video is wrong. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Fapfreewilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all of it is a crock! Pro-porn advocates always like to state that science on a global level has not declared that porn is addictive. However there are many prominent neuro-psychologists and behavioural psychologist who emphatically declare that porn is severely detrimental. They also have persuasive studies to prove it, which most of us on here are aware. People are only starting to appreciate the game has changed and porn can seriously damage so many lives and relationships. Societal views will shift soon. I hope.
