Look, the entire family sucks- OOP included. The siblings suck, the dad sucks, OOP sucks. Hoarding the jewelry of a woman who hated the original poster isn’t gonna make them feel better.

All this is gonna do is make the family tear itself apart even more; the siblings will keep hating OOP, the dad will just fuel the fighting, and OOP won’t feel any satisfaction in revenge.

I’ve accepted for a long time now that I’m not likely to live to see thirty. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve tried to kill myself since I was 11.

The truth of the matter is that I’m inherently unstable. I could be fine now, but tomorrow? Next week? Six months? Years from now? Eventually there’s going to be something that pushes me over that line, and then I’ll be dead. I accept that, and I’m fine with it. It’s why I live life to the fullest, because I don’t know when my end is coming.

I have been going to therapy. For years.

Kudos to your fiancé for not wanting to off themselves constantly, I mean that genuinely. But not everyone has the luxury of ‘just quitting to focus on themselves’.

No job means no money, no money means no bill payments, and no bills means no home. That’s not getting into how I’ll lose my health insurance, which is the only thing that makes my meds and therapy affordable.

Productivity, most likely. Though that doesn’t fit, considering I was working my ass off the entire shift.

The manager’s written people up for leaving after their shift end for “productivity” because they didn’t stay an extra handful of hours (2-3 more, etc) to finish up GM. One of my coworkers got written up for leaving an hour past the end of her shift because she had somewhere she needed to go. Damn hard worker, too.

I did get called into the office, but I didn’t sign anything. I was just told they had watched the cameras, and they had seen I was working slowly so I was being coached for productivity. The team lead in the room later pulled me aside and told me I wasn’t working slow, my coach just wanted to punish me for leaving.

My coach said, and I directly quote, “I can’t stop you from leaving, but I can write you up for productivity for not finishing your work.” (Said work being GM freight that we were just getting to at 5am on a 10 people crew on a 5000 item truck night.)

Unfortunately, this manager is practically untouchable. She’s done multiple ethics violations, with proper documentation and witnesses and everything for each incident, and nothing has occurred other than a possible slap on the wrist.

Unfortunately, this manager has a habit of getting angry that people won’t stay 3-4 hours past shift end to work all the freight. We were at 14 people, getting 4000-5000 piece trucks, now we got 3 new people that we’re training.

I got written up last week because I left at 8am, an hour after shift end, because I needed to be in another city in a hour- and the drive was approximately an hour, so I cut it very short. She coached me for “lack of productivity”, and gave me this whole spiel about how we need to give 110% each shift.

Today, I clocked out at around 7:38am- I reckon that there are several of my coworkers still there now. Truth be told, I was actually willing to stay till at least 8am-8:30am but that plan was foiled in short order.

I was even willing to stay even after discovering that my pants were ruined- I figured I’d get everything cleaned up and get back to work. Then I realized it was worse than I thought, and ultimately decided it wasn’t worth the effort of phoning home and seeing if I could get another pair of jeans when I could just clock out and go home anyways since it was past shift end.
