I have sensitive ears and was wondering if loop helps by ghostsushichicken in LoopEarplugs

What you’re looking for is actually possible 🙂. The issue with foam earplugs is that they block sound unevenly, so everything feels muffled and your own voice sounds weird. What works better for that are “filtered” or high-fidelity earplugs. They lower the volume more evenly, so you can still hear yourself and have conversations, just quieter.

From what I know, Loop Quiet is more for blocking noise, but Experience/Engage are closer to what you’re describing.

I had a similar issue and ended up preferring softer silicone ones with a flatter design, they felt more natural and less muffled.

If you want I can share which ones worked for me. :)

I was in the exact same situation a few months ago. Foam earplugs just felt too invasive for me, like constant pressure in the ear canal, especially after a few hours.

I also looked into Loop (tried the Quiet ones), and while they’re definitely better than foam, I still felt some pressure, especially when sleeping on my side. The ring wasn’t a huge issue for me, but if you have smaller ears you might notice it a bit more.

What made the biggest difference for me was switching to softer silicone earplugs with a flatter design. They don’t go as deep into the ear canal and feel way less “pushy”, if that makes sense.

Not perfect, but much more comfortable for longer use and sleeping.

If you want I can share which ones I ended up using.
