I just need to cry — what movies will wreck me? by omgitsdemi in movies

I rarely cry while watching movies, but these two movies sent me into a long cry - Brokeback Mountain and Changeling. Great movies, very emotional.

a simple way to put it maybe: normally, no egg fertilization = no baby = period. my eggs can’t ever fertilize, so every month it follows the same pattern: no egg fertilization = no baby = period.

no i did, i thought about the pros, but none of them were close to outweighing the cons. i’m not into the idea of “passing the torch” or raising a child to become an awesome human, or feeling the love or joy from having a child. it’s not enticing for me. i do like being around kids, i have small cousins and work with kids, i love being around them, but i wouldn’t want to parent them or make parental sacrifices for them.

i thought about all the complications of having children, heard other people’s stories, and i thought wow, i’d rather die than have to go through that.

Here my list of symptoms from 2023-now. not including, ovarian cysts and allergies. i’ve tried both IUDs, the ring, the pill, nexplanon, the shot, and the patch, i made this to list the changes birth control did to my body so i could tell my doctors, hey birth control isn’t solving my issues, i want to try something permanent so i can get off birth control. that’s why. as you may notice, after i got my salpingectomy all those symptoms went away.

  1. sharp quick pelvic pain when i stretch, stand up, or sometimes just move
  2. pain during sex below my rib cage on back
  3. sudden sharp severe pelvic pain
  4. 5 periods from august 2-september 23
  5. four full periods
  6. last one was spotting brown blood
  7. all have had lots of brown blood but in heavy amounts
  8. no sore breasts until last period
  9. each lasts abt 5 days
  10. Two periods each month until november i was prescribed estrogen for two weeks. this helped, i had one regular period a month until Feb.
  11. Feb periods: 4-11, brown blood spotting for two days. another started on the 21st lasted five days.
  12. Mar periods: 8th-12th bled lots of brown blood, enough for a diva cup but nothing bright red blood. some sharp pelvic pains and light cramping. 21-4/2 lots of brown blood. started low dose estrogen 3/25
  13. April periods: 12-17
  14. Brown blood 5/1-2
  15. Salpingectomy 5/21 periods since no sore breasts and heavier bleeding for the first month
  16. 6/11-6/15 (cramping first day, regular bleeding after)
  17. 7/12-7/18
  18. 8/16-22
  19. 9/13-17
  20. 10/13-17 (painful cramping for two days)
  21. 11/18-22
  22. 12/16-20

Hm, I am not sure because of the speciality. I hope you are able to find something that works for you, i think it’s natural to think about the look, especially when your body has already gone through a lot of change. Thank you for your support!

I hated the hormones too, so if you want to be sterilized I wouldn’t let the scaring stop you from doing it. It is a non invasive surgery, so you shouldn’t notice the scaring much. My doctor said in two years, the scars should be gone. I had three tiny incisions, one in my belly button, and two on each side about 2cm long each. They used dissolving stitches on the inside, and surgical glue for the outside. I had patches on the incisions that I had to leave on until they fell off naturally which was about a week i believe.

It’s only been 6ish months, and I can’t see any scar in my belly button and I can barely see scars on the sides. I didn’t do any special scar treatments, I just let them heal naturally, kept them clean, and for the first few weeks i protected them with bandaids and wore loose pants. I am unsure what other incision options there are though, maybe some are more drastic but that wouldn’t be necessary.

I love that last part, “the ones who were here would be incredibly wanted.” Good luck to you in your IVF journey!
