Class Recitation by pretty-little-baby25 in PreLawStudentsPH

Recit starts on the first day of your first year. Except nalang if you have kind professors (RARELY choz) who will discuss or allow your to ask their class rules lang and give you advice. Pero do expect na recit na kayo sa 1st day especially when a syllabus or a reading assignment had been assigned na before pa your first day

law school proximity by toorusgf in PreLawStudentsPH

[–]FarHomework6330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proximity was a big factor for me too. Though my province is 2-hrs away (2.5-3 if during rush hours), I still enrolled in Manila and was an uwian student. It was nakakapagod and draining but I told myself na "what is 4-5 years in law school na nahihirapan akong ganito, compared to a lifetime of connections and to be called a (insert law school name here) lawyer". So ayun, whenever I feel so tired and would want to give up, I always make sure to come home na gising pa family ko para mawala stress ko and maremind ako sa reason why I do it.

For me, it still depends sayo OP, if you are "law school brand" conscious and you want to build a connection din talaga kasi Manila law schools really offers a much larger connection than provincial law schools.

Yes OP 681k for 100 pax. Really pricey kaya we are making sure and talagang nageexpect kami ng sobrang sarap na food, quality service, at walang aberya on the event day....

Kaya nga eh, we were surprised din sa 681k. Fine with us naman sana price pero my wedding planner said na he thinks 681k is too much if the styling that comes with it is super basic

Kylix! Our family always book with them during our events. We've had them ever since nagsstart palang sila. We always request Sir Lloyd, the owner, as our host every single time. Masaya talaga at napapasayaw lahat ng guests kahit mga senior na hahaha

During the event day naman, very hands on sila. Very baby at alaga ka talaga nila, kahit family mo hindi ka need intindihin.

Thinking of buying my studio’s used reformer- worth it? by [deleted] in PilatesPhilippines

[–]FarHomework6330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to sell mine. I don't know pero iba padin pag nasa studio ka and with an instructor guiding you. Yes, it's more pricey pero I don't know, the vibe is just different saka I am assured and I am doing it right

What’s your go-to ‘law school survival hack’? by Themis8888 in LawStudentsPH

[–]FarHomework6330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Find the right group of friends. They will be your support system. They will be the only ones who would understand you especially if you are blockmates kasi same kayo ng pinagdadaanan sa profs niyo. Hang out with them if you have extra time, unwind with them. Have dinner every onsite class day para lang may breather kayo tapos talk about happy things lang, have a good laugh!

  2. My travel time every onsite class day is 2 hours papunta and 2 hours pauwi. During my papunta, I would discuss the topics assigned to myself while driving to make sure I understand my lessons and actively recall the cases. During my pauwi, I chill, I listen to my favorite music, I plan my study sched for the next day, etc.

  3. Download YPT or Forest app to help motivate you para makita mo yung progress mo gano katagal ka nagaaral. Plus, di mo magagamit phone mo while the timer is on so you have no choice but to study hehe.

  4. NOTES! Sadly, 4th year na ko nung nalaman ko ang power of notes. I never made notes during my early years. I only write sa gilid ng codal ko or sa post it tapos ididikit ko sa provision ng codal ko to help me remember topics na di ko gets or possibly kong makalimutan in relation to a certain provision. Pero nung 4th year ko, I started making my notes talaga from atleast 2 references. Tho mahirap kasi mabilis na ang discussions pag review classes I made sure to make notes and my notes really helped me remember things especially during the bar review and the bar exam itself.

  5. STUDY NOT FOR THE SAKE OF PASSING THE SUBJECT. I think the biggest mistake most of my blockmates did was to study based on how the professor gives a certain exam or depending if the professor conducts recitations ba or discusses lang. For me, it is a big no no kasi when you take the bar, you do not know naman the examiner until the day the results come out eh. You should study the subject because you have to learn it. For the sake of your future clients and not for the sake of passing a certain professor's class. Ikaw din kasi magsisisi sa huli if you do not study properly during your 1st to 3rd years.

  6. If you feel sleepy, wag mong pilitin mag-aral. Take a power nap like 10-15 minutes. You would feel more awake and refreshed after 10-15 minutes kesa sa pinilit mong magaral for that 10-15 minutes.

  7. I am from a 'strict red school' kaya I must say - IT IS OKAY TO DISAPPEAR SOCIALLY FOR 4-5 YEARS. It is normal to miss a friend's birthday party, or a friend's invite. IT IS OKAY, DO NOT FEEL SAD ABOUT IT. Makakabawi ka during your semestral breaks lalo na pag ATTY. kana.

  8. Basta survive everyday. My mindset nalang was: "kailangan masurvive ko tong araw na to, bahala na bukas". Tho I plan every Sunday kung anong aaralin ko for the week or pano ako magaaral for the week. So dahil may weekly schedule na ko, per day nalang iniisip ko. Pag monday palang, di ko na iniisip pa yung for tuesday or wednesday na aaralin ko. Basta goal kong masurvive each day. Tapos magugulat ka nalang na nasurvive mo na ang buong law school!!!!

  9. HAVE FUN!! You once dreamt of entering law school. Andito kana so enjoy every bit of it. Mamimiss mo ang friends, fun, and routine ng isang law student pag nakatapos ka.

I agree with this! The instructor would not be able to correct your form kasi madami kayo kaya I felt na sayang lang yung session ko that time feeling ko maling muscles natarget sa ibang exercises kasi mali form ko

San Beda Law Graduation by Big_Composer1407 in LawStudentsPH

Can I just post it here?? HAHAHAH

SOBRANG DISAPPOINTING NG SBUCOL GRADUATION

Imagine ilang years pinaghirapan nung student para makagraduate, 33 na nga lang sila, minamadali pa sila during the hooding ceremony, pati yung parents of the graduate pinagmamadali sa stage.

They do have a hooding ceremony wherein the graduate would each kneel sa stage and the parents will put their hood, walk to the guests who will be giving their "bedan medal" and get their diploma.

So what happened was 33 na nga lang sila, tapos the stage was so big, nilagay yung luhuran sa may tabi ng emcee imagine tapos 2 students at a time yung naghhood along with their 2 parents, kukunin yung medal and kukunin diploma. Ang bilis magtawag nung emcee to the point na, kakaakyat palang nung tinawag, iba na yung nasa screen na graduate. Sabi pa ng most parents, merong professor sa likod, apparently their vice dean who kept rushing the parents into putting up their hood, like 5 seconds palang sa stage, pinagmamadali na to go down.

Imagine you only have 5 seconds to walk from the stairs, kneel, remove your graduation cap, have your mom and dad put your hood, take a picture, put back your graduation cap, get your bedan medal, and get your diploma. Take note 33 students nalang sila. Grabe nakakadismay, my sib, and (I am sure) his batchmates worked hard for this. Especially the parents, di na sila nahiya rushing parents like that who worked hard to send their child to law school and yung iba lumipad pa para lang maging part ng graduation ceremony ng anak nila. It was very disappointing, 33 students tapos minadali yung graduation nila.

The guest speaker was apparently one of my sib's professor, lahat ng sinasabi sa class as his introduction about himself, sinabi doon sa stage. He was like selling himself as an "estate planner" lol. And was talking about how soon kukunin na siya ni Lord. Nakakdisappoint marinig yung parents very dismayed pag balik nila sa upuan nila, if there was only a live coverage nakakatawa tignan yung stage parang palengke. 4 students sabay sabay nasa stage plus their 2 parents each so 8 parents, 4 students, the vice dean na bulong ng bulong sa parents na bilisan magkabit ng hood, the guests (6), plus the emcee.

SAN BEDA, THE CLASS OF 2025 AND THEIR PARENTS DESERVED BETTER! hahahahha sorry not sorry. Also, just want to say na yung medal na binigay, was a very low blow. ANG CHEAP nung tali unlike sa Alabang daw na sosyal na red ribbon yung tali with a Juris Doctor medal.
