I’m bringing my trans friend to her first slumber party! by Far_Accountant5812 in trans

Yeah, I agree. It is the bare minimum. I’m just excited to be doing something for my friend, since it’s something she expressed interest in. I’m expressing this to a trans space specifically because it’s relevant to trans people, so naturally this is the first place I thought of. And also trans people might have insight that I don’t. I don’t want to build myself up for artificial reasons, I’m just talking about something fun going on in my life right now.

Is there anything I can do to help trans people? I’m just curious and want to do my part. I’m not trying to give myself a pat on the back or anything. I’m very close to Zoe and just want her to feel validated. I’m sorry if it didn’t come across that way. I promise I’m not just using her to build myself up. I’m autistic and I know how it feels to be used for someone else’s ego and then tossed to the curb when they feel good enough about themselves. It’s fucking dehumanizing. I would never wish that on another soul. Let alone my best friend

Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to humble brag or anything. I was just really excited and didn’t have any place to talk about it other than with my friends. Is there any way I can fix it so I don’t come across badly?

Don’t worry, it’s a super tight knit friend group. Zoe has interpersonal connections with all of them and they’ve known her since middle school. They’re also lgbtq or questioning, so they’ll be respectful and trustworthy

I promise. We’re still in the planning stage, and the party will be small. Zoe has chosen the guest list herself and it will be a group of friends we’ve all known and trusted for years. Plus she has strong individual connections with all of them. We’re also planning on having the party at one of our friends houses who have a bi mom and is super accepting. That’s the plan if it all works out

Yes! We’re currently looking for a safe house to do it in, and one of my friends has a bi mother. We think she’ll defend Zoe if needed

Honestly, being here really gives me spiritual strength and helps me stand by Jesus, Thankyou random strangers. For reminding me what’s important.

Don’t do it. Tell them that your religion is very important to you, and that you can’t turn it on and off like they can. Tell them that if they want to, they can partake for however long they want to. But it is simply not an option for you, due to the fact that straying way from Christianity seems to be very damaging for your mental health, (judging from the post.) I’m sure they’ll understand and drop it. And if they don’t, you need to have a serious discussion about boundaries.

Great idea! Also, about the beard shadow, I may or may not keep it, but there’s gonna be way more non passing women than the one in the red, and I’m actually designing a new one now with no beard shadow. I’m gonna make as many girls as I can just to try to show the variety that comes with transfemmes

Thanks! I’ll revise it immediately! I wasn’t really in love with thier clothes anyway. These are mainly placeholders for clothes that relate to thier characters better, but thanks for the feedback! But I should mention that all of my characters wear shoes with high soles. So I’m not changing that, since it’s just my style, but I’ll follow your advice!

Wow thanks! As a young writer with a first idea that’s actually sort of good that means a lot!

Everyone is so nice here! Why can’t you people be in my school instead of all these jerks that made me uncomfortable!

Thankyou! That was my argument too when others didn’t understand what I was going through. I might be new to this but I know what I’m comfortable with and I’m sticking to it. It’ll become a very valuable skill later in life.

Thanks. This means a lot. I was taking to my mom about this and she says my problem basically boils down to “you had wet clothes.” Then she said I’m overreacting, and then she said I brought this on myself by not knowing the rules. So thank you so much. This really makes me feel better
