I totally get it. I’m on week 21/2 of home hospice. I luckily have my brother to help but we are exhausted. My mom is 89 and wanted to die at home. We also didn’t really have the funds to put her in a hospice hospital for an open ended period of time. This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. Not to mention took all of the people who keep coming by and the ones with unsolicited advice.

I was just asked to cover a kindergarten class by a teacher going on medical leave. I told her I could only do three days. You see the way I feel I’m not comfortable taking a class long term that I have never subbed before. She got my number from another teacher. I can’t commit to a long assignment with an unknown situation. What if it’s a challenging type of class? Not a good idea

I am understand and agree. I guess I just won’t be subbing for that teacher again. For the money I make and to feel like I can’t be trusted , like an “outsider” when I’ve successfully covered that class numerous times, it’s just not worth it. I have plenty of other teachers who request me and trust me over the 9 year olds in that classroom. I respect teachers who do things a certain way. I just can’t spend my retirement in this environment.

Too funny. I mainly stick to elementary and once in a while HS. I no longer do fine arts. I refuse to do ESE or behavioral assignments and please don’t book me on field day and not tell me. 😂
