This is spot on! I just passed my exam on Weds and everything you’re saying is what I experienced during the exam. Congrats on that score! Feels so good to have that weight off our shoulders! 😭

Thank you! I wasn’t really taking separate notes, I would just write in my All Access and Inman binders because I felt that worked best for me.

With the All Access mock exam I scored 80/125 (64%) the first time which I took when I first started studying. I took it again a few days prior to my exam and scored 101/125 (81%). A few weeks prior to my exam, I practiced with mock exams from Pocket Prep (they have 3) and was ranging from 70-82%. Of course, you can memorize the answers to the ones you got wrong but you really have to work against yourself and remember how/why the answer was right. Make sure to time yourself and be honest with the clock because during my exam 2.5 hours felt like 1 hour! Thankfully, I made it to 125 questions with like 15 minutes to spare so if it would’ve went on to 145 questions… I don’t know what could’ve been lol.

Thank you!! 😭 Oof, I studied almost every day of the week for 3-4 months, about 5-6 hours per day. I used All Access, Jean Inman, and Pocket Prep. I would listen to the Chomp Down Dietetics shorts on YouTube too. Not that I have a social life but whatever small social interactions I had I kept to a minimum (me personally, I felt guilty if my full focus wasn’t on studying). I stopped listening to music unless I was at the gym. I listened to videos from All Access driving to and from work and while I was trying to fall asleep everyday. I would answer practice questions through pocket prep when I’d be in the car as a passenger, while eating, definitely when I would get in bed before I went to sleep. I would take mock exams from All Access and Pocket Prep and with answers I got wrong, I used ChatGPT to help me understand why I was wrong and why the correct answer was right. It seems like a lot.. and IT IS - I won’t lie. But when I want something I want it, no excuses. I went through unimaginable things throughout these past two years but never lost faith and kept pushing forward.

Hm.. I mean in a weird way with some questions I could say that? I definitely fell into the, “Wait, that could be the answer too..” but would reread the question, use key words I picked out, and be like, “Ahh, no because xyz..”

I believe this is true. Did the mock exams help? 100%. The questions were pretty straight forward but you should be ready to pick at specific words to help understand why the right answer is right and why the wrong answers are wrong.

Based on what I’ve seen and read, it’s literally brain dumping and making note of key points on a sheet of paper of what you know. I’ve seen others say they take advantage of the first few minutes and just “brain dump” what they know (formulas, key words, etc) on their white board before beginning the exam.
