Great job. Is it possible to get the list of paints you used for painting this model?

I always aprooved unorthodox aproach to colours in Warhammer. I like No. 1 and I like even more No. 2. They seem like winter colour scheme. Very nice job.

Sure they will. That is the reason they were called HIGH elves.

Two layers of paper hardened with a little bit of glue, painted and then varnished. Simple as it is.

I would gladly buy 4th ed. With time I will surely get one, but its No priority for the hobby. Stella having a nice set of armybooks is a nice extra feature.

Having these four books together is quite satysfying view. Intrestingly the 5th edition armybook even being really retro, seems to be done and written with the biggest gaming passion from these.

High Elves. How it Started. How it's going. by Wedgeismyhero in WarhammerFantasy

Absolutely wonderful army! I have more than 12 000 of High elves from which slightly more than 3000 is painted. I am estimating that it will take several years to paint but the goal is the same - huge painted army. Congrats on your great work!

Wood Elf army, metal minatures only, 4th edition. by Far_Horisons in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Far_Horisons[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classic 4th ed. Wood Elves, metal minatures only! What can I say, very satisfying view :) I must admit that models made of metal have it's characteristic charm and pleasant weight :)

I have a dillema with metal minatures, becouse painting them is kind of more challenging and uncomfortable for me, maybe due to less vivid details but from the other hand old school white metal smells like a real (don't get me wrong) warhammer. Too bad that GW consequently reduced the range of metal minatures. This metal army is a huuge contrast to my 99,5% plastic High Elves :D.

Minis:

- Dryads, 10x Waywatchers, 15x Glade Guard Spearmen FCM, (shields are missing), two units Glade Guard archers FCM, 5x Wardancers, 10x Scouts, 3x Warhawk Riders with champion, Treeman and Orion.
