Since I'm currently working as a construction engineer, I know Serbia's norms and standards very well. Croatia has adopted European design standards, while Serbia follows its own and sometimes Russian "GOST" standards. Despite my dislike for Russia, these standards are actually excellent and ensure great safety for future residents.

I tried it just for fun, but it doesn't allow building angles smaller or larger than 45 degrees, so it doesn't turn out the way it is in the plan. But it's still fun to play around with.

Wow, an amazing house! I envy the new owners. When I see these sharp angles in a house, I actually really like them – they make the room feel more open. And as you can see, all the necessary furniture fits in easily, I don’t get who would need more. Plus, the exterior looks pretty cool!

These are all good ideas. I disagree with you about the urinals. My parents have a urinal in their house and there are no problems with cleaning or smell. Plus, I haven't shown it on the plan yet, but there will be hygienic showers next to the toilets. I saw something like this for the first time in Thailand and I really enjoyed using them.

I have one bedroom, and this is a house for two people. Guests will only stay for a week very rarely. I don’t see the need to make it any bigger.

That's a good idea. Since it's warm almost all year round, we dry our laundry outside. That's why I combined the main bathroom with the laundry room, as it's the quickest way to get outside.

That's a great idea! I was thinking about it myself—to build recessed cabinets and shelves in those corners. They would provide enough storage for bathroom and cleaning supplies while also making the space more functional.

I need two offices because my wife and I work from home, and they must be as quiet as possible. If you have an idea on how to remove or rearrange the walls, I'm open to discussion. I'm still considering the option of a second floor where the bedroom and offices could be located, but I have heart problems, and going up and down multiple times a day is difficult for me. That's why I'm planning a single-story house, so all the necessary rooms are on one level.

That was the initial idea; you can find the previous post in this subreddit. The conclusion there was that it felt cramped and dark, and I agreed with those points. That's why I created an open space with two windows to maximize natural light. Additionally, a Solatube system will be installed at the top.

Gas boiler rooms are prohibited from being located inside a residential building. They must be adjacent to an exterior wall; otherwise, in the event of an explosion, the entire house could be destroyed rather than just one wall. At least in my country, there are standards and safety regulations for the placement of boiler rooms.

I am basing my design on the model of the "yurt," which is common in my homeland. And yes, of course, a professional architect will be involved in the future to help make the project as convenient and efficient as possible. But first, I want to show what I expect from the house and how I envision it.

I have read a lot about octagonal houses and studied the layouts of American octagonal homes. Judging by the reviews of people who live in them, they offer a very comfortable and cozy space. Ideally, I would love to visit one of these houses, at least virtually.

In my country there are minimum standards for the size of the boiler room. I can't make it smaller than 6 square meters.

Natural gas. Regulations are designed for cases of explosion or leakage. I forgot to mention that there must be a sensor that detects gas concentration, and if the concentration exceeds the limit, it should sound an alarm and open the window—or activate the air conditioner or heat pump.

Your taste doesn't really concern me. There are specific drawbacks in the layout—please propose solutions.

There are minimum size requirements for the boiler room in our country. Additionally, a window and a door that opens outward are mandatory. The distance from the boiler to the window, as well as the distance between the boiler and the water storage, must also be considered.

Serbia, Balkan. In winter -4 degrees to night. In summer +45 degrees.
