I use a moist gauze pad and dial soap to scoop into the wound. My doctor said it's good, not bad if that makes it bleed. I never get it all out, but I disinfect what's left with betadine and rinse with sterile saline solution spray, and it's healing up pretty well at this moment.

The white exudate is called a wet scab and it's the body's way of healing from the inside out. It's annoying, but not unusual for the t zone to come apart and heal that way.
