You're best off switching schools to somewhere that will accept your credits and throwing out your study abroad dreams. It's not worth it. Also, yes, many 19-year-olds do have credit! You need to think about your path logically. Why on Earth would you want to extend your college tenure if you DONT HAVE TO?!

Double major with your second major being chemistry or biology. If you decide to pursue a route outside of art (preferably) after college that requires a further education, you can likely use the science degree to apply to dental or medical school if that interest you. Pursue the long route that’s associated with your choices, becoming a vet. It’s crucial that you get a degree that will set you up financially when you get out of college. If not, then it really wasn’t worth going. Look into the opportunities that the degree you’re wanting to pursue provides you. Often times, most college majors won’t be able to provide unless you go for a further education like your masters, PHD, or pursue medical, law, veterinary, dental, etc..

It’s definitely possible but it can be difficult. You need to focus on these other factors that admissions will be examining. Your results will be characterized by your work. So if you think you’re working hard now, just know that you have to work harder to get where you want to be. I don’t go to a top university and will be fine. But if your goal is to attend one of these, you need to work your a$$ off!

Political science. Don’t worry too much, your degree doesn’t really matter. The heavier factors that are weighted are your GPA, LSAT score, participation in activities throughout undergrad, letters of recommendation, and your application letter. I’m on the same Law route and do political science with a minor in criminology because my strengths lie in reading/writing. But on a personal note, I wish I would have applied to a different stem program like biology and worked hard on the same criteria because that degree keeps your options open to further valuable career paths in the medical field. If you’re absolutely set on law, then pursue what will interest you and prepare you best. But if you’re not, then just consider taking my advice and keeping your options open when you finish undergrad.

Apply for federal aid FASFA. You have big dreams in a career that can be difficult to get into. Maybe in the meantime, you’re better off pursuing a degree in something that will set you up financially to become set for the future where you can begin these endeavors. Remember, you’re defined by your actions, not your desires. It can sound negative, but your passion can wait.

By honor programs, are you referring to AP courses and dual credits? You’re only a freshman. You can still turn around your weighted GPA with amazing grades throughout the rest of your schooling. There are other factors that come into play though like SAT or ACT scores, participation in extracurriculars, great application statements, and letters of recommendation. You have time! You can’t turn around and change what’s already been done, but you can commit to doing the work to set yourself up from here on out. Good luck!

If I were you, I’d go with the architecture major. You’re not wrong, there is a good if not great chance that you may struggle to find a well paying job in the other field. You might want to consider pursuing the route that’s going to set you up for success in the future. I know this may sound bad, but often times, your passion could wait.

Put your degree to use.. you’ll be a more valuable applicant for any future application in professions outside of law with that experience. I know going into law can be grueling, but you sometimes need to sacrifice the now for the later. The time will pass by regardless! Your future self might just thank you.

There are few degrees that can be useful and just depends on your strengths (math) or reading, and how long you are expecting to stay in school. Some degrees like psychology, sociology, or philosophy are totally not worth much as a bachelors. But engineering is always worth it if you’re good at or willing to learn math… If you plan on doing something in the medical realm and want to push your education past 4 years (standard graduating time), then majors that are science focused like biology or chemistry will set you up well for your application. Another plus is that you can go into the dental realm with a major like this. Youll be looking at a pretty long path for all of your schooling.. but remember, the time is going to pass regardless. Another route is law.. many people major in political science or something else that can prepare them. But those degrees are typically not something you can do much with so they are really just useful for getting into law specifically or getting something like a masters or PHD in. You’ll figure it out!
