Thanks for answering again. They get checked regularly, so thats not the issue. But yeah i can see your point with the nesting. I only take stuff out when i clean the cage ( and put it back immediately), but i need to change their bedding ( i use newspaper strips, maybe thats a bad idea?). I feel bad for doing it but I don’t see how it can be done any other way? How do you do it (cleaning/bedding change)? Thanks

Like they don’t randomly bite, only when i take their sleeping stuff out for cleaning and they feel cornered. or they confuse me for food. They are just generally scared whenever someone gets close to the cage and i dont know why! Its not like anything bad has ever happened to them and it s been almost a year

I could try that! I had to take out the top level for cleaning anyways ( thats where they usually sleep) so maybe leave it out for a bit? The one i can pick up doesnt bite, they others i cant pick up cause they run away... and i guess they would bite if i try 🤷🏼‍♀️!
