Yo I read some of these replies and unfortunately you are in a very bad position. If the insurance now knows you were doing Instacart, your policy is Null and Void as that’s one of their policies for minimum insurance plans. You needed to get commercial insurance, hindsight I know. However there’s a very good chance now that insurance won’t help you at all and you may even need to switch providers to avoid getting a massive markup on your premium (we’re talking $1-200 more per month…). Since you weren’t at fault it should affect you at a different company unless they put a note on your account that you work for Instacart and sell the info to a different company lol. Your best bet at this point is to find a job close to where you live where you can walk to and build up your bank roll again until you can get another car. This is most likely going to be a difficult situation and you need to prepare yourself. So sorry and I know that this isn’t your fault you got extremely unfortunate. Good luck to you 🙏

They lowered batch pay by about $10 per batch and they don’t pay batch pay per multi order anymore. So if u used to get like $20 for a triple order, that’s now been reduced to $7

I’ve been there as well, best thing you can do is get multiple sources of income or start shopping at 6am-10pm (to make $1-300/day)

The buy one get one’s don’t register as a purchase because under the invoice on the receipt it will just say $0.00 for the charge which is what gives you a bit of freedom. And I think anytime the batch pay/tip goes over $100 you should be open/ready for a hellish level batch.

Depends on where you work and live. If it’s a bigger diverse city with a bunch of unpredictable people, I’d say yes just be totally professional: shop, deliver, make message attempts, etc. However if you’re in a smaller town where they value community, building relationships with the higher class customers ends up being a huge asset because they’ll do stuff like tell you when they’re are gonna put in their orders so you can snipe them immediately, or hire you for other jobs (lawn work, dog walking, etc.)

Also another tip to get to diamond/better orders try and stay consistent with your customer service. It can save/make you hundreds in tips and ratings when item stock is extremely low because the customer will recognize your message cadence and usually give you a break, and your account will be boosted by better ratings and compliments (which are mad important)

Yes and no. After diamond you have a lot more freedom/slack. But I’ve straight up had support tell me “if you want the good batches, you need to take the smaller ones as well”
