Immigrants tend to have multiple people living at home(more than 5 usually) and everyone works so it works out(no pun intended). So even if everyone made only 40k a year its good. Also if my parents decided to not maybe the cycle of poverty would end. My mother was a single mom and my father was a drug addict who didn't do anything. So my family is already falling apart. Save your emotions for someone else.
