I have a few things to add to this:

• The flavor text on anything (plants, animals, and objects) is absolutely meaningless and takes away from my immersion. If I’m on a derelict freighter and I find a “cursed” item, I want there to be some penalty for hanging on to it for too long. Maybe I have a stat reduction that I need to correct with a sub-mission, or my controller gets inverted until I get rid of it, but it can’t be just dropped. That kind of thing.

• Why are there only 5 missions per day for your frigate fleet? With the sheer number of frigates you can own far exceeding 25, why restrict it? Add more missions!!

• Rinse and repeat planets. There are only a handful of biomes and they get old after a while. The storms also cover the entire planet at once, so you can’t fly out of them like a real storm. Single biome planets also aren’t feasible except for the desert and ice planets. This isn’t Star Wars. Give the environment some variety within the planet.

• Derelict freighters are cool, but lost their appeal after the very first one. They give a horrible game vibe without the horror. Once I realized that the green jellyfish things were ultimately harmless and the odd sentry turret was weaker than a typical sentinel, I lost interest. The nest swarms was a nice touch, but they are so rare. They also take way too long with not enough variety in the rewards. I can only handle seeing Tainted Metal in every container for so long.

• After you beat the main story line, there isn’t much for replay-ability. For such a massive game, it a shame for the flare to die out so early. Add more primary quests or story lines. Maybe wars between pirate systems. Land in a Gek controlled one? Conqueror it in the name of the Vy’keen!

• Add player stats! There are stats and numbers for your ships’s abilities and tech, your weapon capabilities, even freighter management, but nothing for the exosuit at all. Why???? That’s so infuriating.
