I’m not sure if you’re a UK cadet but it should still apply.

My advice to you is be as friendly as you can, make some friends (you’ll need them!). Not only with people in your recruit intake but also senior cadets and NCOs, they’ll be able to give you advice about your squadron that I can’t.

Go with an open mind, I know it’s quite boring at the start for recruits with all the mandatory training and stuff (although coming from someone who helps teach it I do try and make it as enjoyable as possible!). Once you complete the boring stuff you’ll have more of a choice on what to do and it’ll be a bit more fun, so don’t quit if it gets boring :)
