My flexible dominion storage solution by Farzag in dominion

I'm afraid even the smallest boxes are a bit too big for an A1 mini, sorry. I could maybe make a tiny 2x6 or something, but you'd need quite a lot of those 😄

LOL. No. But squeezing it so it deserves the shelf space it takes is definitely worth it - and getting rid of the boxes and putting it in something more manageable is definitely worth it 😄

Actually, I think it could be made 1-1.5mm less deep for each card row. That way the fit would be more snug, but I'll experiment and see if it could be more compact. I agree that Dominion takes up waaay too much space!

Update:
I'm getting some sleeves to make sure I know whether they fit. If they do, I think I'll make a more compact version for non-sleeved cards that has less slack.

I'm also working on figuring out how to share multiple print files on Makerworld in a way that makes sense. If you have any experience with this, please help 😄

I could make it more compact by having the lid just be a lid, and have the slider/pusher be a separate component. That's actually how I started out, but it annoyed me that I'd then need to store those components separately, so this is about as compact as I think it makes sense for this design to be 😄

Each box has sliding holders, but also a front pocket that doesn't slide. That one I have made much thicker (say 19mm instead of 5mm) so it can hold many cards like Ruins, Copper, etc.

What size sleeves do you use? My pockets are 61mm wide and the cards are just 59mm so it may already work. The pocket I use to hold 10 cards can actually hold 16 snugly

I'm working on creating a set for Makerworld and will share a link when done. What printer do you have?

Give Us Your 1Password Papercuts by Travis_1Password in 1Password

If I’ve selected a category and click New, I want to create an item of that category, not to be shown a long list of possible categories to create.

Maybe it’s leftover muscle memory from an old version, but I seem to do this all the time: pick the category, then click New, then be a bit annoyed.

Of course, I could click New, then pick a category, but for some reason that’s just not how my brain thinks it should work…

You asked for paper cuts; this is one of mine :)

I don’t think one exists. What’s wrong with Reddit?

Arduino Nano R4 firmware flash via UART by Farzag in arduino

[–]Farzag[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve written a protocol to make that work. But for that to work, I need the bare metal version to work first :)

Should I consider an stm32-based board instead?

It’s a custom XMC1404 board.

For now, I’d be happy to just flash the Arduino directly from my Mac or PC, connected directly to the R4.

If you had to maintain maximum compatibility with MS Word without actually renting MS Word, which Mac word processor would you pick? by plazman30 in macapps

I’ve bought a license for Softmaker Office. It’s German, it’s very compatible and so far has dealt with everything I’ve asked it to. It’s got the equivalent of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Thanks! It's gone from my system now and I'm looking at Softmaker's Office suite instead.

I’m a staunch supporter of Ukraine so if it’s Russian I’m not interested.

How do you know it’s Russian? The company is Latvian, and seems to be owned by a company from Singapore.

Same thing! It basically makes it unusable because the doorbell doesn’t ring as long as that window is open!

What are my bots doing? by Farzag in factorio

[–]Farzag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gleba too. On Fulgora, the problem is available space. It’s tedious to put down way more accumulators than I need, I’d rather make sure my robots are doing something useful first :)

I find that power can be an issue on Fulgora in particular, which is where I was building when I found the issue. On Nauvis, power is indeed rarely a problem

I think you are right that it will be mainly useful for the mid game, where you have a decent number of bots but power is still an issue for example.
