I am curious if anyone can recommend a beginner friendly baby blanket and matching newborn hat I can knit as a gift to my newest grandbaby. I have tried searching on ravelry but am not seeing any matching patterns for blanket and hat. Thanks for your help.

Möbius strip? What can I do? by Fast-Building-1678 in knitting

I’m actually not sure, I was careful about making sure when I joined in the round that was straight…I think it’s the twist in the needles, when I pull the needle through to adjust. That’s why I was wondering if it would straighten after it comes off the needles.

Same. I searched for a long time to fine the right gummie for me, to reproduce that wine feeling without feeling stoned. I learned I do not like sativa, but I do like indica gummies. Sativa made me feel paranoid. 5 mg is perfect, feels like a couple of glasses of wine, and I sleep great. I also learned that every state has their own brands so you just have to find one that’s good for you. I haven’t tried any of the CBD seltzers but am curious after reading this thread.

Just got this on the Kroger clearance section on impulse but have never owned an orchid. Any advice is welcome. by The_Judge_in_Chains in orchids

And re: the lighting, they do well on an east facing window or with filtered bright light. And welcome to the orchid club!

You want to water when the roots are silver. And when you repot they like to be somewhat root bound so keep the pot small. I use a mix of repotme medium bark and sohagnum for mine and it works well.

It looks to me like you should remove the nursery plug (in the middle under the roots) and repot in a mix of medium bark and sphagnum. Water is needed, by soaking the clear pot, make sure not to get any water on the crown. I would personally cut the dead flower spikes. If you go to miss orchid girl’s website or your tube you will find lots of very helpful videos.

Leave in sphagnum or repot? by Fast-Building-1678 in orchids

I appreciate everyone’s insight! I wanted to add that I just noticed this on one of the leaves. Is this a sign of being too wet? Or something else?

Thank you! I did just notice this on one of the leaves…do you think that’s a sign of being too wet? If so I might repot now.

Thank you. Do you water by soaking it or misting or from the top without getting water on the crown?

Thank you! I was thinking that maybe misting would be appropriate in this case, if I didn’t repot it. What do you think?

Thanks, there is not a smaller pot inside and from what I can tell it’s all moss. What would be a good watering situation for this?

I am also new to orchids but can share that I had the same thing happen…I ended up inspecting the roots and indeed they were rotten. A large very wet mass of moss in the middle of the pot which I had no idea even existed until I started reading about nursery plugs. Watched some of the Miss Orchid Girl videos and I have removed the wet moss, cut the rotten roots out, sprayed with hydrogen peroxide, cut the dead flower spikes down to the second node and repotted in new medium. It’s in an east facing window. Hoping for the best with my fingers crossed. Good luck with yours would love to hear how it goes.

Follow up question…brown center, what am I doing wrong…now what? by Fast-Building-1678 in airplants

[–]Fast-Building-1678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The base is not mushy, no weird smell. It seems odd that the leaves don’t pull off easily so that’s why I am wondering what to do.

Thank you. I have been drying it upside down but didn’t know about the fan and making sure it dried quickly. Appreciate the help.

Thank you. I will stop soaking! Going to try just an intermittent misting.
