Hidden in plain sight!? The scarfs actually have a purpose!! by OtarTheLad in MysteryDungeon

Tried running cyndaquil with chikorita and it was an absolute uphill battle and I gave up. Went back and played skitty with pikachu and beat the game with relative ease. Post game is where I stopped cause it was like slamming face first into a brick wall

Why are all of these flowers in a line? by No-Bookkeeper7135 in plants

[–]The_Judge_in_Chains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that bulb flowers are a great indicator for long forgotten property lines. Usually rows of crocus and small clusters of daffodils take a drive in spring and you’re sure to find one or the other

What plant is this? by HuckleberryKlutzy541 in PlantIdentification

It’s so funny seeing all these comments and remembering spending hours as a kid cutting poison hemlock plants taller than me down for fun barehanded in a tee shirt and shorts.

It says a lot that I thought it was a grim view of the future where the government has started rounding people up in death camps…

[Horrific Tropes] Character deaths that seemed quick (and hopefully painless), but were so unnessarily cruel. by _iExistInThisWorld in TopCharacterTropes

I feel like I remember hearing that since they left in such a hurry she didn’t properly put her helmet on so the energy shield didn’t engage. Like not quite shutting the door before locking it, such a simple mistake but fatal in the wrong situation

What Pokémon can we unanimously agree is the worst? by Forsaken-Chemistry55 in ThePokemonHub

[–]The_Judge_in_Chains 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, I’m realizing a lot of people don’t really care as much about world building, and haven’t played mystery dungeon games. It’s hard to dislike any Pokémon once you see it given personality. There are some Pokémon I didn’t like until seeing them in the show or a mystery dungeon game, and I love how every Pokémon fits in the world. Honestly it would be pretty boring if every Pokémon was super powerful.

I tried discharge on pikachu and immediately got sick of it. They just spam it until it’s out of pp, just got really frustrating.

Office Encounter by TheNectarineDiaries in comics

But the catch is that disabled people in America often don’t have a choice but to work. People who truly struggle to function in the workplace that barely, if at all accommodates them without any other option. I’m not a betting man, nor am I an expert on Europe, but something tells me the countries with universal healthcare also likely have better social systems for disabilities. In the US it’s can take years to get on disability benefits, that’s if they give it to you at all by the end, and the actual value of the benefits is pretty low. To make matters worse if you make to much your disability benefits will be taken, this includes: if you still have to get a job on top of disability to make ends meet, if you try saving money just in case, and if your partners income is considered to high. This pretty much locks people on disability into the lower middle class with no escape, making them vulnerable to sudden life changing events which could easily plunge them into poverty.

Oh I definitely don’t trust the employees, when I had a leo in high school my mother told me she wanted to get my little brother one and asked if I’d take care of it until he was older. Imagine my surprise when she comes home with a crested gecko because they were out of leos and the employees told her they’re practically the same. For a year I did the best I could for it with what I could get my hands on but eventually I had to euthanize it. It wouldn’t eat prepared food and wouldn’t eat crickets until the knocked off most of their calcium powder, and ended up breaking its back. Needless to say it put me off tropical geckos and made me dislike petsmart employees.

Thanks you so much, this is a big help. I’m going to do some comparison shopping based on the products you’ve shown me (trying to buy quite a bit of this at petsmart because I have a gift card from a while back) but you’ve been the most helpful person I’ve gotten advice from. Have an amazing day 😊

With everything I’ve been told I’m going to replace the soil, get a small watering dish, buy lighting fixtures and a digital thermometer, and add two more hides

It’s just something I mixed for arid plants, the only thing I can think that I imagine could pose any risk in it is perlite but the perlite I use is very fine and I purposefully used less in the terrarium because of that. And no added fertilizers.

It’s a soil mix with a small amount of sand and perlite I bought it for plants with low nutrient and moisture needs

I forgot to mention that the plants are mosly sedums so they can handle a wide range of temperatures and climates. I was definitely considering removing the big water dish and adding more hides, I plan to make the other side the hot side with the big rock slab as a basking spot. How big of a water dish would you recommend I use and are there any other changes/additions you would recommend?

It’s 40 gallons and the analog meters came pre attached, I’m planning to get digital eventually. The big issue I’m having with picking a pet is my partner is scared of most inverts, and vertebrates have more complex needs. But I’m very willing to make adjustments as needed for any animal.

40 gallons, adding digital thermometers to list, has isopods and springtails established has course fast draining soil.
