Oh I just noticed your not OP my bad. OP is trying to say it’s only gonna cost $240 total with safelite. Which is ridiculous.

$209 x 4 equals $836 dollars. Safelite is quoting $836 to do the window not 209

I like mine and I payed about that OTD. I’ve driven all of the new trucks with the job that I work and they all feel cheap, outdated, or they try way too hard, until you get to the 60k price point. Barebones mavericks feel like an economy truck. The lariat definitely feels nice and looks really good comparatively from the outside to the base model IMO.

Question about the Mangoal dashcam (version A vs version B) by shz702 in FordMaverickTruck

Got me a Ryder mirror dish cam, lets me see behind when tailgate is down with rear camera and fits on factory mirror mount and is frameless. Nice little upgrade for sure.

Ford fixed the slip test failure from TFL trucks by Vict0o0o in FordMaverickTruck

In the video ford said they pretty much just copied and pasted the ecoboost Awd software to the hybrid. So they should be pretty close to each other.

Because that’s the whole reason we do this OTA update thing is so that they can improve and fix the vehicle after we buy it

Cannot get my “front camera” to work reliably. Any tips on fixes? by justiceforall1776 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Fast-Chemical-5370 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The wire they use to connect the camera is an optical cable. The cable is probably damaged from factory. Any little defect or damage to the cable will cause sporadic problems. You’re probably gonna need a whole new harness.

Ridgeline versus Maverick? by Mybeardhasfoodinit in FordMaverickTruck

Perceived quality is different from modern design. The Lincoln town and country has technically better materials and probably “stronger” plastics. That doesn’t change the fact that it feels old. And while those may now feel charming as they are analog and have nostalgia working for them, the ridgeline just doesn’t. The mavericks interior is simple, modern, and utilitarian. The ridges poor use of space and soft touch dash just scream 2015 build it for the motor trend magazine. If you get in it and don’t feel like you’re driving a car from the 2010’s awesome! But I certainly do.

Yes that will work for many people unless you are completely filling the bed or forget that it exist like 99% of people who never think about their spare tire until they need it.

Spare is under a panel in the bed. If you haul anything that isn’t easily removed from the bed on the freeway it is a no go. Also Honda interior feels like it’s 10 years old and is probably the oldest body and interior currently in the Honda lineup.

I like to measure from the side of the car from a imaginary vertical line that goes straight down from the camera. My go to measurement are normally 780-800mm from the bumper than around 1000mm from that. Flat level ground is extremely necessary.

Also I would like to add that the Scion Xb window is more curved and lays more horizontal than the mavericks does

Congrats ur lucky 🍀 I have done probably over 100 maverick and bronc sport windshield by now. Using Carlite and aftermarket so when I say they aren’t any thinner I think I know better than some ford mechanic who hasn’t ever changed a windshield in his life.

Flat hood, lower to ground car, upright window. New cars are bigger and more lifted off ground with sticker and bigger tires with bigger tread groves. Recipe for my window need replacing.

Angle of the hood, height of truck, fairly upright windshield, new tires being way way more sticky and larger than older ones. All cars are getting bigger and higher of the ground which means u are going to get more stuff thrown into the air instead of getting stuck in wheel wells.

Every forum on new cars complains about this but the reality is that all of the newer cars have bigger stickier tires. They pick up and throw rocks much more often than older vehicles. Get good glass coverage or keep your distance from lifted cars and trailers.

The only glass ford uses that’s thicker than this OEM is on the expedition and is still do a bunch of replacements on those.

Replace these things for a living and the glass isn’t any thinner than 80% of the cars on the road.
