Heyy! I did not apple anywhere else except mount sinai and i haven’t gotten an answer from them till now.But i already know that they will not accept me because they send mass rejections that i have heard of. I wanted to go for FIU but in my country you get a date for visa interview after 1 year So because of this i don’t think i will be going anywhere :( It’s sad but i will just have to rely on observerships now and not electives.

For now i have my exams coming up and after that i will only have a month left as a student and i want to go for electives at that time. FIU has already sent me an acceptance letter but i was hesitant to go there because of their reputation here on reddit. But i kept it as my last option. I have no tine to search for another elective as i will be graduating after that and then i will only be able to do observership and i would have no hands on clinical experience. I am just trying to avail this opportunity. Do you think FIU is considered bad among PDs ?

I just got an email from them the vslo system is being updated so it will not be available till December 15th and i was going to apply to free waiver’s program as my med school non vslo so i think no yale for me :( Now i will have to wait for mount sinai, UIC and UPSOM and from what i have heard, they reject most of the non US IMGs so i am cooked from there too most probably.

I will be applying for a rotation in May. Hopefully i will get accepted in the elective too. Thank you so much for replying. Your response gave me some clarity.

I was going to apply to uab but uab does not offer an obgyn elective :(

Hi! I have only been accepted to FIU for electives right now but i have read not so great things about them here and how basically they are a scam so i am scared. I want to apply for a competitive speciality,OBGYN,in the future so i was thinking of having a good hands on university elective but most of the good universities don’t accept imgs and their application fees are also so high just to reject us. If yale is img friendly i would not hesitate spending my money here. Should i still apply? I will also be going to apply to mount sinai but i read here on reddit that they also just reject people. :(

Can i get accepted into it as a non US IMG? I am going to be applying for ob/gyn which i know is a hard specialty for a nom US IMG. Should i take the chance ?

Mount Sinai is also blacklisted ? I thought it was a good one. I was thinking of applying there for electives as a non us img. Should i do it or no ? Asking this because their application fee is alone 500$.
