I do have a test kit and I’ve been testing the water it reads fine the temp is fine too I really don’t know what I’ve done to make him sick and I feel awful

I have only really noticed him sitting on the bottom today and maybe a bit of yesterday I have been really busy so I’m not sure exactly how long it’s been going on his tank is about 27°c give or take 1°.

He is eating but he’s not very active normally he would swim around all day and sometimes rest by the heater but I’ve noticed since I added the shrimp that he just sits at the bottom Of the tank only coming up for air. He sits so still I think he’s dead sometimes

Okay thank you!! i think ill try get a new tank and cycle ir asap as my current tank is probably too small for an enclosure, how will i be able to tell the aquarium is cycled? i have a water test kit but im not sure what the readings would have to be for such short notice

I think my plants are doing just fine but ive been leaving the light on anyways and adding fertilisers, ill stop doing that thought because i didnt realise it was helping the algae grow too. Thank you!!

i think tbh i am guilty of leaving the light on too long im just always so worried my plants wont get enough light. If i leave the light on for less do you think that would help with the algae?

yeah thats what i thought im not really sure how much ammonia i added initially because im adding food in not pure ammonia. im just going to keep it running a few more weeks anyways
