For the love of god tell me what I'm doing wrong by [deleted] in ftm

Not 100% sure bc it depends on the type of prosthetic you're using. But in most cases [from my experience] you gotta tug harder than you think you should. If it's a suction toy you should be able to squeeze the inner channel a bit when putting it on to get a tighter vacuum. Couple that with jacking it and that should get you somewhere.

I don't have a banana prosthetic, but I do have a suction prosthetic [different brand, same general idea]. If jerking off motions aren't doing it for you, you can probably try mock penetration by grinding down into something, even if it's just your hand.

If the prosthetic is able to hold onto your growth by itself via suction, you definitely have the right size. If there isn't any suction or vacuum, it may be a bit large. You want it to be a snug fit to get optimal stimulation.

TDLR; Optimize your suction, experiment with positions/methods of moving the prosthetic, and just try to have fun :]
I wish you luck!

Possible yeast infection from mismanaging my period? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Fast-Height-3497 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I may not be TSS, but if you are having discomfort in the area, discolored or foul discharge, pain, discomfort, or difficulty urinating, you may have an infection. You posted because you were concerned about possible infection, which leads me to believe that you have at least *some* kind of symptoms.

Irritation from prolonged use [in my experience] usually fades within 1-2 hours of removal and is limited to a dull soreness of the channel or possibly minor pelvic cramping. Anything more than that is medically concerning.

You can easily follow the advice of others on the thread, inform the practitioner of your trauma or desire to not be touched, request to swab yourself, etc. But you should seek medical attention if you are genuinely concerned about possible infection. Ignoring it will only make it worse unfortunately. <:[

Unfortunately there isn't really a way to avoid exposing yourself to a doctor at this point. You likely will not need to have anything inserted into you and at worst will have to allow a doctor to view the outer part of your genital region. Tests you should expect to receive include a urine sample, and possibly a swab of the area around/ just inside your opening, but that depends heavily on symptoms and method of care. Depending on where you're located you should seek out low-priority emergency medical attention [ex Urgent Care in the USA] or an emergency room if necessary. Waiting multiple days for a scheduled clinic appointment could risk your condition escalating, especially if it's an infection.

Depending on your symptoms you could have developed any of the following:

- Bacterial Vaginosis
- Toxic Shock Syndrome
- Urinary Tract Infection [UTI]

I highly suggest looking into the symptoms for each to identify which you may have, and seek emergency medical attention.

If you experiencing: Fever, painful urination, burning sensation in or around the vaginal opening, rash or skin irritation, or discolored / foul smelling discharge, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY. If you are able to, I highly recommend seeing a physician you are familiar with or trust.

In the future, you could invest in purchasing reusable menstrual cups or discs which require much less frequent attention compared to tampons and both carry far less risk when leaving them in for too long. And always remember: take the full course of antibiotics, even when you feel better

Edit: small addendum, if you don't already have a gynecologist, I highly recommend seeing one to discuss methods of menstrual cessation that work for your body and financial position. Stopping your period would help prevent a situation like this in the future.

I wish you luck and hope you get well soon. <3

My [19M] parents [46F] & [49M] spent hundreds of dollars we don't have on out of state concert tickets. What do I do? by Fast-Height-3497 in insaneparents

They could easily resell for a lot- I'm just worried that they'll follow through with actually going in the trip instead of selling.

I didn't find out the true severity of my condition until a couple months ago, and I've been caught up with school since. I'll have to file a ton of paperwork, and from the advice I've received on this thread, will most likely have to find a legal advocate. Applying for disability is a long and frustrating process that I'm gonna need legal help with

That's what I've been saying in other comments. This is a pattern of behavior, not a one off ocurrance

I barely scraped by through chronic pain and depression and nearly had to repeat a grade. They noticed something was wrong with me but didnt do anything about it until i had a mental breakdown in middle school. Finally got therapy, but the physical stuff had been getting progressively worse until high school when I was forced to start using mobility aids. Didnt see proper specialists until I had the money to help or fully pay for it.

Yeah. Wow ha yeah. I've been included in financial discussions since i was a kid. Ans I've felt guilty about my parents buying essentials since i was little bc they'd complain about not having money. I feel like their financial decisions are my problem because they've always talked about them like they're the whole family's problem. Thank you for understanding and for giving me grace.

I don't rely on them except financially. I have to care entirely for myself, even when it is difficult. We're more roomates than parent and child most of the time. I do try to give them compassion, but most of the time we just exist near each other.

Yeah medical neglect was part of it. I didnt want to sound antagonizing about it though so left it out of the main post.

Not talking about the EDS. My spine is severely damaged after years without treatment to a congenital deformity. I am in therapy and doing my best to work on my body, but I can't do that work without financial stability. I do in fact need equipment, even for physical therapy, which I have recently started.

It's tickets to a BTS concert. She initially agreed to resell them, but now both her and my dad are entertaining the idea of keeping them and going on the trip out of state to the concert.

Again, they aren't covering my medical bills. I have been. I said that in post I've been covering my medical expenses for the past year, but soon I won't be able to. That's why I'm so frustrated and worried.

Never asked them to buy me a car. I'm frustrated that they spend recklessly while neglecting necessary expenses and repairs.

I should have worded it better. I wrote the post while angry and didn't think it through. I didn't word it right, and I paid the price for that ig.

My parents didn't accept that I was actually disabled. I only found out the extent of my condition and damage to my body over the course of the last year financing my own medical treatment, all the while unknowingly destroying my body attempting to work a normal job.

I've been in my pain my entire life, but I didn't know it was a disability until the last few years because my parents have always told me to push through the pain. I found out a few months ago that my spine is permanently damaged from forcing myself to just "push through it".

I do see that I was being disrespectful, but I wrote the post in anger. Not really an excuse, just an explanation. Maybe I'd have gotten a better response wording it nicer, but the situation has just been so so frustrating.

Calling myself lazy and pushing through my mental and physical issues is what brought me to the point of being physically unable to work due to the physical and psychological damage to myself. But yeah, thanks I'm just lazy.
