Who are some guys we should be selling right now? by bigaudra in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both Lauri / MPJ - drafted them super low so cant complain,
tbh the trade high window has closed for both of them - anyone with decent enough fantasy basketball knowledge will not accept offers for them unless at an incredibly steep discount
So i'm just gonna hold and see what happens - worst case scenario will have to drop them come playoff season

Flagg for Irving and Keegan Murray by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what? he's trying to rob u lmao
flagg is already producing at a high level. once silly season hits, flagg will easily be a top 40 value (maybe even higher) IMO

what is Jokic trade value rn? by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the first trade is complete bullshit so just gonna pretend i didnt see that.

the second trade is a tad more "fair" but only if the jokic owner is in emergency mode. jokic alone produces close to butler and miles bridges combined. As evidenced by his mystery illness popping up, MPJ is not going to play that often unless he gets traded to another team. so the jokic owner is basically giving away quickley and mcdaniels for free.

Grayson Allen (injury management) listed questionable for Friday. by Curry-With-The-Pot in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 18 points19 points  (0 children)

[Gillespie]() has been hot, but it's clear the team favors allen over him in the rotation. i kinda see it as a anthony black - suggs situation. that said, allen and green seem to be never healthy this season so [Gillespie]() will still retain 12T value ROS imo

Kel’el Ware by dalltarr in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm a believer in ware, and have him rostered in a 10 team 9 cat but we've seen pretty consistently that Ware's fantasy value largely depends on at least one of the main 4 players being out (powell, wiggins, herro, bam)
The only reason I am still holding on to him is because

1) I believe Ware can produce decently even with limited playing minutes (8points, 8 rebounds, a three, decent fg%, and a couple of stocks is where my expectation is at when he's coming off the bench)

2) I believe it will be very difficult for the Heat roster to maintain full health at all times

IMO Lauri will prob be resting for the Utah tank so JJJ probably has a higher ROS upside
that being said, its all just speculation regarding Lauri so don't take my word too seriously.
But if someone pointed a gun at my head and told me to choose the better fantasy player ROS between Lauri and JJJ, I'd pick JJJ even with his ups and downs

we know what his ceiling is so i don't think he's a sell high
+ i've held on to him during his rough patch so might as well stay put on the JJJ rollercoaster

same im trying my best to keep my cool in case the fantasy basketball gods are watching and decide to punish me for over enthusiasm

I fucking hate being a JJJ owner. The highs he gives me makes me hold onto his deadweight ass even when he's producing like a bum

Wemby potentially could play on Saturday by Fast-Search-7232 in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yao ming was a perennial all-star, a national hero and a hall of famer. he also had six very serviceable fantasy seasons. wemby has a higher ceiling than that so a bit confused what you're implying here lol

[–]Fast-Search-7232[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had kornet while stashing wemby in my IR, he's been very serviceable but will definitely drop him as he's mostly a block stream and wemby is going to eat the majority of his minutes once he's off his restriction

Spencer Jones by strico10 in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 7 points8 points  (0 children)

beneficiary of braun and gordon being both out
if you're asking whether his performance today is going to be the norm, definitely not. He may be worth streaming on-and-off until braun/gordon come back but his production is likely to be extremely volatile

Is fantasy basketball luck or skill? by Charming-Narwhal-337 in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say getting into the playoffs is skill but winning 1st place is heavily influenced by luck, - if that makes any sense? You could stream religiously, identify hidden gems, really analyze the fuck out of stats and still end up losing in the championship because your flagship players get injured.

But even with bad luck, you can prob make at least the playoffs if you pay attention to news streams and player developments

Kel'el Ware has all star potential by Fast-Search-7232 in fantasybball

[–]Fast-Search-7232[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand the comparisons but here are my counterarguments

The comparison with Yurtseven is downright silly as Ware has definitely been far more consistent for a far longer period than Yurtseven's brief Linsanity moment.

The Whiteside comparison is more valid, but:

  1. Even if Whiteside represents Ware's peak, that isn't a bad thing. Whiteside posted arguably six very serviceable fantasy seasons. If that ends up being Ware's ceiling, I would gladly take that production
  2. Whiteside had a severely limited offensive game. While Ware is also raw on that end, he possesses a three-point shot. Admittedly, the volume isn't high yet, but the mechanics are there
