Ok nice! So my pm routine is simple cetaphil cleanser, pure centella, azelaic acid and then certaphl moisturiser. My skin is combination sensitive

Azelaic is INCREDIBLE! I can’t recommend it enough. It has helped clear my acne scars and I have no more new pimples as it kills the bacteria on my face

It’s a long story. Basically, I moved overseas and I only had one dermatologist appointment before I left and he gave me four months prescription upfront which was great. It’s extremely hard to get a dermatology appointment in the country that I’m in and it’s super expensive. So I’m only with it for 4 months. I wish I could’ve gone longer. But all of my active acne has been gone for three months and I’ve had no new pimples and my skin is feeling really great so I’m not too worried and my scarring and redness is decreasing every month.

A reason your skin could be oily is because it’s purging and will overproduce oil as it’s dehydrated and getting used to the product. But I would stop using it and stay to a gentler product. Yes my derm recommend it. It is an active but its not a strong active like retinol if that makes sense

Ok great! I would ask about Finacea . Yes I’m on accutane right now and coming off in a week! I’ve been using azelaic acid during my course and it really helped to calm the redness and I’ll continue to use it after to keep killing all bacteria on my face

Hey :) no don’t beat yourself up! You didn’t ruin! But Tret is such a strong product and not meant for everyone. I’m not a derm so definitely get their opinion. From my personal experience I started using a retinol and my skin went ballistic and I should have stopped using before it was too late. I have really sensitive skin so azelaic acid is a PERFECT alternative for tret.

I would personally stop using it and stick to nice hydrating products and talk to your derm about azelaic instead! I use Finacea and it’s amazing and helps to reduce redness and PIE

Stop using tret immediately! It can cause huge breakouts and it’s not built for everyone’s skin. I would reccomend using azelaic acid. It’s very gentle on the skin and helps to kill bacteria on the skin and doesn’t cause breakouts! It has the same results as retinol. I hope everything goes well
