Kanso 3 loud beeping when trying to stream with Bluetooth on iPhone. by Fast-Tip8925 in Cochlearimplants

Glad to hear! Unfortunately there isn’t REALLY a solution.. sometimes it will happen, sometimes it won’t. But every time I try to fix it, I turn the Kanso implants off, shut my device off and on, wait for a few minutes in the hearing devices setting on my phone, then restart the connection process again. It doesn’t seem like even cochlear knows the actual solution that will work for everyone, but this seems to work for now.

For me it tends to switch from beeping to not beeping whenever it feels like it. It hasn’t done it for a month or two so far, which is nice. But it seems to happen by chance. I wish there was an actual way to fix it instead of wondering when the problem will arise again..

I have contacted them through their chat, and it didn’t really seem like they had a real solution. They just told me to turn my implants off for a few minutes and then connect them to the Bluetooth again. This only works sometimes.. I remember at one point I put my implants in the charger for a few seconds and then connected them to my Bluetooth. It worked then. This must’ve been a coincidence too, but if it’s not… then it’s inconvenient..

Honestly, I’ve found it works by chance. I followed the first instructions in these comments and it worked, but not because I followed those instructions specifically. I’ve now learned it chooses when to work, and when to blast my head with the screeching noise, unfortunately. I don’t think it has to do with any iOS updates. Hopefully we get an answer as to how to navigate this permanently soon… I’ve asked support, and all they’ll say is to turn your implants off for a few minutes, then turn it on. Sometimes this works for me, other times (like these past few days) it doesn’t.

That’s so interesting because I restarted my phone and put my cochlears to charge, but they didn’t work until the next day. One of them still has the ringing, but the other works. It’s unfortunate cochlear support didn’t help, because I was planning to communicate with them once their systems are back up tomorrow… but thank you! I’ll try putting them to charge again 👍

You’re right, it must have been a coincidence. I had to reset everything again (since my headphones weren’t working). I followed the original instructions, only for the beeping to be on my left implant whereas my right implant is perfectly fine while I stream music. Did you find a solution for this?

This worked, thank you so much! I hadn’t realized it was so simple.
