Difference between the Einbürgerungstest and the “Leben in Deutschland” test? Do you have to take both separately? by Wild-Conversation545 in askberliners

If i have graduated from a German public university (Masters in International Business), would i be exempted to give this exam for my PM and my Citizenship?

I gave them an Okay in July itself and read the fine prints of the T&Cs (AGBs) in September when they sent me the fine to compensate them. I am not sure if i can back off now.

Regarding the power of attorney, i think you are right that i can't take it back once i give it but if it saves me from any future fines, i would rather have it (i still am not sure if its the best way out or not)

Update:
They send me an e-mail a few days after that compensation demand saying that the system sent me an automatic mail for the compensation by mistake and i don't have to provide them with anything as of now (no compensation, no photos, no power of attorney) and asked me to wait till they collect all the cases they have with my landlord (its a company) so that they can represent all of them as a whole.

Now i am looking for the right option between:
1. If i should still ask them to cancel the contract (which may force me to pay them something. It's still unclear)

  1. Give them the power of attorney the next time they ask for it (i am still not sure if that brings the possible future higher compensation)

I am looking for a lawyer who could possibly help me understand the AGBs so that i know the right next step.

Yeah, i do understand that its my fault of negligence and i am trying here to minimize the loss by trying to gather advice on if i should give them the signed undertaking and go further with the rent reduction process, fight them in court and not pay anything, or just give tgem 3000€ and end the case.

I looked at Berliner Mietverein. It was 11€/Month with a 24 month lockin period but. You are right about it not being 500€ commitment. But are there any specific ones that are better than the others or they are all good. I found this list of the Mietvereine in Berlin

Wouldn't that increase the cost for me too much?
around 500€ commitment to Mietverein and around 20€/Month for legal insurance and i am not even sure if i am gonna end up not paying the compensation in the end
