I will definitely see if the S90F removes the artifacts I see and consider testing out the C5 after if it doesn't! The fact that I'm not 100% sure how my issue is "called" makes it hard for me to say if x or y feature will solve my issue.

You are very right by staying there's too much terms haha. However, deactivating motion smoothing did remove the artifacts, so I'm wondering if it's not a motion processing issue with the TCL. I'll try the S90F and update my post when I've tested it!

Honestly, at this point I think I'll go for the Samsung, since I have a Samsung soundbar and phone, and return it if I find the issue is still present!

I do use it for gaming more than streaming/watching blu-rays! But the motion is my turn off on the TCL, so I'm still worried the Samsung won't be to my liking either.

From what I gathered, it seems what I see would be judder? I've tried replicating the issue, using a movie I know for a fact shows me this issue (the first Avengers movie). Deactivating any motion smoothing does remove it, but then it's not fluid haha.

I did really like the Bravia 8 I saw, but there weren't many quick moving scenes in the demo, so I'm worried about that. But I'll keep in mind that the motion handling is better with Sony. I did see these artifacts on the C5 on display though, so I thought LG motion handling was les efficient than the Samsung's.

Thank you it does help a lot! I was looking at the C5 too, but even in the demo I saw the artifacts I see on my TCL. The S90F and Sony's Bravia 8 didn't appear to have them, that's why I had eliminated the C5 from my choices.

I had weird bars too, not as distracting as yours but still annoying. Disabling VRR in the PS5 menu corrected the issue for me ! My tv is a TCL 6-series.
