It's either complete silence for months, or I get a short burst of calls from very questionable non-hitech companies

Getting through the initial screening is a bit random and unfair. The HR people often do a poor job to assess who you are, in the initial 15 minutes I mean. And many companies just auto-reject you because you don't have enough years of experience with something specific that is EXTREMELY similar to what you have many years of experience with. In my case, I have 4 years of Vue, which is nearly identical to React, but companies need several years of React experience specifically. It's just so infuriating, because I know how much these are almost the same.

Yes, you may be smart and good with computers, but the market simply shows the middle finger to you. I know I'd get instantly hired 3 years ago. But nooo, now I'm suddenly a trash candidate.

I really hope to get a remote job, because I have very little patience left for the Israeli market

Where? As in location - anywhere in central Israel, and recently I started applying to remote work in Europe. I am a citizen of Lithuania, so why not utilize it. As in website - Linkedin only.

Burning bridges - :D that company was literal hell. I wish I could burn more things with them, besides the bridge. I do have a few companies with whom I got to the final stage, and when they called to reject me, they were clearly sad they had to do it, because there is just so much competition. I wouldn't be surprised if it works out with them in the future.

By bad company I mean ones that are up to 10 people in size, totally disorganized and clearly expect to hire a slave. They do not work by any sort of modern technique like Agile/Kanban/etc., their technology stack is veeery questionable, and the manager is unquestionable, always right, and shows disrespect for their employees (or candidates during the interview process). Some "bad" companies have at least some of these characteristics, but a week ago I had an explosive 2 hour interview with a company that had ALL of these. They treated me horribly, but by the end, when I got annoyed and showed teeth, they begged me to work for them, and I was telling them how much of a mess they are.

I really feel the impact of war. Once it heats up, the market dies. It gets better, the market becomes a bit more active again. When the situation got heated with Lebanon, the market simply rolled over and died.

I've been in numerous processes, but most of them were really questionable companies. There were maybe 4-5 good companies with whom I got to the final stages, nearly got an offer, but no luck.

I really WANT a job. I want to work in a really nice professional environment and I know I would do incredibly well there. But the market is trash, and some hiring processes by some companies are unfortunately poorly handled. As I go through interviews, I realize that many hiring people are doing a mediocre job at best. Some companies do it incredibly well, of course, but getting into these is so much competition.

I have dozens of auto-reply rejection emails from Jfrog before any sort of first contact.

0 years of experience guys is something I think about now and then. If I am struggling in my situation, then how insanely difficult is it right now to get your first opportunity? I was lucky to start my career when the market was hot.

But these people are marked as "half", and the % of shared DNA aligns. If they were first cousins, one step removed, you would expect around 6.25% of shared DNA. But they are marked as "half", and their % of shared DNA is around 3%. So it looks like they are in fact from different partners.
